  1. FYI anyone having load spikes, or other high load issues I have found a possible solution. Providing that you have your own domain, and run it through Cloudflare, you can set page rules. In your CF account under your domain look for "Rules>Page Rules" then +add rules. Here is an example of what I set up. It seems to be working. My load was looming upwards of 7500. Now stable under 1700. *Wordpress users can also use "Super Page Cache for Cloudflare" plugin for WP, and set even more customization. I recommend turning off automatic updates. I would also recommend removing any themes you are not using as well as unused plugins. *https://developers.cloudflare.com/support/troubleshooting/general-troubleshooting/troubleshooting-surges-or-spikes-in-web-traffic/
  2. I've just moved over my Wordpress blog into a free hosting in Tommy, and it's been showing "SSL Not Configured" on my site https://therocketblog.tk/ ever since. I've added Cloudflare to the site (by changing nameservers to Cloudflare ones) and got Cloudflare up and running. Then, I set Cloudflare SSL to Full Mode and installed a Cloudflare Origin Certificate using the cPanel. However, the site still shows the HelioHost SSL Not Configured error page and asks me to wait for AutoSSL. How do I disable AutoSSL? I don't need LetsEncrypt and auto-renewals. Please help. Also, if an admin sees this, please remove my other account @sayanjd with email sayanjyotidasworkmail@gmail.com. I can't seem to login with that email, but registering with it says that the "account already exists". For now, I'm using my alternate email address.
  3. Hello, I have a problem with my website omroepcomeback.ml. I have installed a Cloudflare certificate but when I open my website i get this error: "Ahoy! You're seeing this page because you've reached a website on our service that's not configured to accept secure connections (HTTPS). If you're a visitor, try visiting this site again, removing the "https" in front of the website domain. Please note that your connection to this user's website will not be secure. If you're the webmaster of this site, we recommend you take a few minutes to set up SSL so your visitors can connect securely. You can do this from your control panel. If you need assistance, please visit our support forums or Wiki. Thanks for choosing HelioHost! Sincerely" What should I do?
  4. Hello, this is my first time posting so I'm not sure if its the right place, I apologize if its not. However I have several questions. I would like to use Cloudflare, but in order to do so, it says I need to change the namesevers on namecheap, (where I purchased my domain name),from ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org,to adelaide.ns.cloudflare.com and kirk.ns.cloudflare.com What would happen if I did this? Would I still be able to log into HelioHost like normal?Would I still be able to get to my email which I access through HelioHost and Cpanel? Would Cloudflare start hosting my site instead?I'm only interested in using Cloudflare because it allows me to get an SSL padlock on my website (which is under construction) in a fairly straightforward manner. Thank you.
  5. Hi,I am having problems updating the domain and validating the HTTPS protocol using CloudFlare, which I receive the message from Primary Domain (No Valid Certificate). Is there a way that they can clean the invalid certificates so that it can show this message and be able to work without problems or any solution to it? Thank you.
  6. Hi, I've created a new subdomain (updates.maicol07.it) where I installed OctoberCMS from Softaculous. CPanel issued a self-signed certificate that expires next year but if you try to open https://updates.maicol07.it it says: Ahoy! Sincerely, What should I do? Wait for AutoSSL? Note that some days ago I've set up Cloudflare. Thanks
  7. Is there anyway to white-list CloudFlare's IPs, perhaps? I'm getting problems with it again . Recently related topic about it https://www.cloudflare.com/ips/
  8. Hey folks, Is there a way to install CloudFlare's Authenticated Origin Pulls? Info: 1) About Authenticated Origin Pulls 2) Setting up Apache to use TLS Authenticated Origin Pulls
  9. Hi, I'm wondering if CloudFlare really makes a website faster (especially with WordPress), because in the last weeks errors like the 502 and the 520 one often occured. I tried so to deactivate the HTTP proxy to my WordPress websites and I think the errors has gone away... (I have to make more tests). Also, when I disconnected the proxy it replaced the SSL certificate from self-certified with an expired CPanel AutoSSL one (I hope it renews soon... before 24h). What do you think of this? Thanks
  10. I'm trying to set a new(but first) addon domain, but seems like something isn't right. Say my main/root/heliohost domain is mydomain.com Now mydomain.com is using cloudflare's dns servers like so: NAME01.NS.CLOUDFLARE.COM and NAME02.NS.CLOUDFLARE.COM I want to set up my new addon domain, say newdomain.com So as far as I got it, I need to confirm somehow(technically) that this indeed my domain, and for that reason I set my nameservers of this new newdomain.com to Heliohost's like so: NS1.HELIOHOST.ORG and NS2.HELIOHOST.ORG But it doesn't work. What do I mean by that is when I go to http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools/dns_records.php and check newdomain.com for ns records, it some times gives me a target as heliohost servers and some times it's just blank. And obviously the newdomain.com isn't reachable - Server not found message is the output As I was thinking about it, perhaps it's because my root domain(mydomain.com) is set for cloudflare's dns? Should I change the mydomain.com DNS for heliohost till it will recognize it and then change both domains for cloudflare or what should I do in this case, please?
  11. the why see Cloudflare's "Why should I install mod_cloudflare?" at [ https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170916 ] ### the how see Cloudflare's "Logging Real Visitor IP Addresses: mod_cloudflare for Apache httpd" at [ https://www.cloudflare.com/technical-resources/#mod_cloudflare ] ### I assume all accounts on the server - that use Cloudflare - will 'see' the visitor's real IP address when [ mod_cloudflare ] is installed on the server ### my issue with my addon domain that is set to use Cloudflare - is the honeypot can only 'see' Cloudflare's IP address (e.g. 'REMOTE_ADDR' => '162.158.255.81') ###
  12. I'm trying the cloudflare and getting some issues with it, some I just don't understand at all. Would be nice if someone could give a hand with this. Firstly, I want to say that when I configured my domain, there was an option to partly(or something like this) transfer traffic via cloudflare or completely(using the cloudflare dns)... So, I choose the second way - that's the better way, right? Ok, so DNS section... I got this window: Now, as you see, this says I should activate the cloudflare for this, including the cpanel... I find this a little bit unsecured, rather then otherwise. Am I wrong? If so, Why? Also, I have troubles with forcing the HTTPS by default. At cloudflare I enabled the "Automatic HTTPS Rewrites", but yet this seems not to be working... Can anyone tell why? I used page rules to force it, but I don't like this and besides, I really wanna know why this isn't working. Oh, just saying, I'm using the "Flexible" way. Forgot to add: As far as I got it, cloudflare should force redirect for its own error pages with free plan(I use this one), but when I actually try to go for non existing page, I'm hitting with heliohost's 404 error page(means my own 404 page, Not Found page). So, basically, this not working as intended... or, is it? Ok, I think I was wrong about the last one(about error pages). It's only target some specific errors, like 500 or 1000 etc. As far as I can tell
  13. Hi would it be possible for Helio to completely whitelist all cloudflare IPs? I'm having some problem accessing one of my sites through one of cloudflare server i'm guessing the IP got auto blocked by stevie because of too many request made by the location server (definitely not just from my site as i don't get alot of visitors) for other users sites also. https://www.cloudflare.com/ips/ 103.21.244.0/22 103.22.200.0/22 103.31.4.0/22 104.16.0.0/12 108.162.192.0/18 131.0.72.0/22 141.101.64.0/18 162.158.0.0/15 172.64.0.0/13 173.245.48.0/20 188.114.96.0/20 190.93.240.0/20 197.234.240.0/22 198.41.128.0/17 199.27.128.0/21 2400:cb00::/32 2405:8100::/32 2405:b500::/32 2606:4700::/32 2803:f800::/32 2c0f:f248::/32 2a06:98c0::/29 Thanks!
  14. Hi, I am new member here I am the owner of a website which is using CloudFlare and is hosted on some other server. I know that I could change my domain's NS, add the domain and change the NS back to Cloudflare's, but this would cause a little downtime to my website. I have seen you help people in this regard, so I am providing requested information Domain Name I want to host here: ThesisAdviser.comYour cPanel username: armnetYour main domain: armnet.heliohost.orgThe server that you are on: steviePS: I know that you are blocking addon domain without proper NS for security reason, but there are other way to check this automatically, which may benefit both Heliohost admins and users: 1- you can check only the A record, 2- you can ask for adding a cname before you process the request. Thank you for your service Raha
  15. How do I enable a content delivery network (CDN) such as CloudFlare, with a *.heliohost.org subdomain? Upon adding a website and inputting my *.heliohost.org subdomain in getting started with CloudFlare, this quote is appearing: "We were unable to identify *.heliohost.org as a registered domain. Please ensure you are providing the root domain and not any subdomains (e.g., example.com, not subdomain.example.com) (Code: 1099)" And also, can the nameservers of a *.heliohost.org subdomain be changed? Is using CloudFlare with a *.heliohost.org subdomain, not possible? If it is, could you give me the right instructions to achieve that? If it's not, can you give me a specific CDN that can be used in such subdomain with a little instructions? Thank you..
  16. To make ease of running a server and its services that come along with it, I believe you guys, Heliohost, should install Cloudflare on Cpanel so that all websites are protected from attacks and fraud. Cloudflare helps websites load faster and secure them, so that everyone can have security on their website. Everyone will have the opportunity to have an SSL certificate from Cloudflare so there will be no need to purchase one. It also has a wealth of apps to connect the viewer with the management for help. It has a wealth of benefits for both customers and owners of Heliohost, as it produces better service for users, and upgrade services and value for owners and the experience for everyone. CloudFlare should be installed for everyone on Cpanel.
  17. I have been using the hosting for a long time now, and HelioHost is undoubtedly my favourite free hosting. But the missing thing is https on almost all the pages. Why don't you people enable CloudFlare Free throughout? It gives at least a basic SSL protection. Also, the cpanel logins and all the credentials are passed over http which is not secure. I understand that the free hosting is supposed to be used for testing purposes and not for actual websites, but when you can have a valid CloudFlare certificate for free, why not use it?
  18. Is my main domain gonna change while it's dns is set to cloudflare? since I noticed I should first remove the domain from being parked, I'm wondering if I should also remove its cloudflare dns or not.
  19. Hello! I am the owner of a website which is using CloudFlare and is hosted on some other server than yours. I tried earlier to park my domain here, on the server called Stevie but I got this error message: I know that I could change my domain's NS, park the domain and change the NS back to Cloudflare's, but this would cause a little downtime to my website. Is there any way to achieve this without shutting down my website temporarily? Maybe administrators could add the Cloudflare's nameservers in /etc/ips.remotedns?
  20. Hello i would like to know is it possible to change the nameserver of the subdomain as i wanted to use cloudflare on my account so the site loads fast and keep away hackers away and Doser's too Thanks and Regards
  21. I'm not sure if this is possible of not, but is it possible for heliohost to support CloudFlare one day (via a possible cPanel integration)? It may require the changing of nameservers, but that be greatly appreciated by people in the community...
