  1. I am sending my users a confirmation email. I see that the limit per hour is 1 email. Is there any way to upgrade my plan to be able to send more emails per hour? If not then how do I change my settings so that I can use another provider? my registrar is one.com and I use their email service. I read that I can update settings in zone editor but I do not know where to start. Is there any documentation on this? Many thanks
  2. Hello, I have several devices and applications which send me status reports via email. My router sends me logs, backup software sends me status messages, a RAID enclosure sends error alerts, et cetera. My ISP's SMTP server is pretty bad, and I haven't been able to use it successfully with any consistency. I can use Gmail for some of these implementations, but some things don't work with it because they either don't support the security restrictions or ports can't be specified, I forget what exactly. I've been able to use Heliohost's mail servers successfully for all of my needs. However, I found out the other day (when my account was suspended) that there's a 50 email per day limit. I'm not sure when or how I exceeded this limit; the router is the most likely culprit because its log size is absurdly small, so it ends up sending 20 or more emails per day. It's never sent 50 or more that I can see. My other uses don't run every day, and when they do it sends maybe five or six emails in a day. I would like to know what triggered the suspension but I can't find a way to check what happened in Cpanel. Anyway, to prevent this from happening again I'm requesting an increase in my email limit, as suggested by wolstech in the suspension post. As mentioned, I'm only using the email server to send emails to myself. I'm not using it for any other purpose, nor do I plan to. I don't know what figure to request, perhaps 100, although I can't see that ever being used (unless I screw up a configuration somewhere). Thanks!
  3. Just wondering about my options, Is there nay way to setup a trigger on an email id, for arrival of email. The moment an email arrives, a particular JavaScript or PHP file can be called and triggered. Just if it is possible and would not put too much load on the server!

  5. How i can change my email on heliohost account? After i try to change it using EditProfile in HelioHost Tools, its redirect to Helionet, i change my email there, but when I login in https://www.heliohost.org/login/ its always displaying my old email at the top right corner. I also cannot login using my new email, only able if I using username. And how i can using my own domain as my main domain? I has fill the form on the "Change Main Domain" menu and wait for 2 days but nothing changed. I also has add ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org in DNS. Sorry if my english are bad.
  6. The default email account username is the same name of the cpanel login. Is there any way to change that? (For security, and to avoid future spam.) Thanks. EDIT Well, I think I found my own answer buried in the cpanel docs: So... what good is this email account? Its only use seems to be to hold undesired spam, and there's no way to set a quota. Probably an artifact from a different era? I'd be interested to know the best solution for this.

I am close to usage the max 500MB disk space however, I have some mail boxes like 250MB in size that I don't need anymore. When i try to configure thunderbird, it is not possible to verify setup: Name: info@mydomain.cz E-mail: info@mydomain.cz Password: <<same as i use for web login>> IMAP stevie.heliohost.org 993 SSL/TLS Password secured transfer SMTP stevie.heliohost.org 465 SSL/TLS Password secured transfer Username for both incoming and outgoing: info@mydomain.cz As far as I know all is set up correctly... but connection is not possible to create.   10. I'm about to move a website to HelioHost and need some information on email processing. I've only worked with the rudimentary processing via HTML so far. I'm working on a club website and want to be able to have members email each other. An HTML mockup of the page is attached. In this mockup: - Sif is logged in - checking various boxes will send emails to the selected members - the email should come from Sif's personal email (stored in the DB) - email needs to go to all checked members emails How do I process this behind the scenes in PHP? What do I need to set up for the site to connect to the email servers? What else do I need to know? If someone could point me to documentation or a step-by-step list I'd be grateful...   11. Hello, I'm trying to setup an account with bighti.com domain. Unfortunately, at the registration moment, we've mispelled the word and inputted bigthi.com (notice the th order). I've used the script to change the domain, two days ago, and the website is being served as it should, whereas the domain on the cpanel still shows the wrong bigthi.com. The problem of that is that we cannot setup the email accounts that we are in need of. They still are created as email.account@bigthi.com. I've also tried to setup the correct domain as a parked domain, but the cpanel informs me that this domain already exists in the Apache configuration. Thank you. Sorry, never mind, I've figured that out. The problem is that other member of our team tried to configure another account and now the right domain is pointing to it. This topic can be closed. Sorry.

  13. Hi Guys, Today, I forgot my regular cpanel password. Resetted it once but did not write it down so forgot again however when I right to try to reset the password, I am not receiveing the password reset mail. I followed the same process as the first time. Tried many time even after intervals but the system is not sending the email. Even tried the chat forum but no one helped there. Can somebody from staff reset or look into as to why system is not sending reset password mail. my cpanel userid is gujsingh. Hope to get this resolved quickly. Thanks. guj
  14. I can send and receive emails from gmail and yahoo using my email accounts, however the company servers where most email traffic will be coming from reject the emails. The company mail servers also cannot send emails to my hosted email accounts and it is likely due to Reverse DNS failure (www.graphicsbuff.com). It's also happening to my buddy's site. (www.goldrushchapter.org/) Can you guys help out? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi, I have trouble setting Thunderbird with my email: info@sakisx.heliohost.org On the cpanel it says I can use Secure SSL/TLS Settings but the only settings that work are : Incoming IMAP ,port 143 ,SSL= STARTTLS ,Authentication= NOT Encrypted (normal) Outgoing SMTP ,port 587 ,SSL= STARTTLS ,Authentication= NOT Encrypted (normal) Are these settings "safe"? Also another thing that puzzles me is which name server I must choose with the above settings. The cpanel mentions for SSL the "stevie.heliohost.org" and for the nonSSL "mail.sakisx.heliohost.org". Which one should I use? After thunderbird complained for SSL certificate and had to made "exception" I send a test mail to hotmail and gmail account. But the hotmail message was not send: From info@sakisx.heliohost.org I got: ""This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error.   17. Hi all, Since yesterday, my php scripts are not sending any emails anymore. I tried different scripts (with almost the same code), send to different email addresses (even to this from heliohost), but no email reaches its destination. Script returns "False", but I have no idea what to check. I will be happy for any hint what else to check, explanation, etc. I'm on Stevie. Is it possible that there are some limitations (although I haven't sent many emails). This affects even webmail, so is unrelated to the IMAP/SMTP issues I am having with Thunderbird. I have received email to the addresses I have created, but only from certain senders. For example, notification+y2rrqena@facebookmail.com and confirm@twitter.com have successfully been received by social[at]michaelstcyr.com, as well as from my wife's yahoo.com account, but gmail.com fails. The email from Twitter had a 5 hour delay from the time it was sent, but did eventually arrive. When an email is sent from certain addresses, it returns the following error: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: social[at]michaelstcyr.com Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain michaelstcyr.com by michaelstcyr.com. [64.62.211.131]. The error that the other server returned was: 550-Verification failed for <myaddress@gmail.com> 550-No Such User Here 550 Sender verify failed And I'm sure this is obvious, but I replaced @ with [at] for my email address while posting here, I did not try to send the email like that.

Meanwhile I have reactivated the Cpanel account and everything is running fine except the access to my Heliohost email account (sapateiro@sapateiropirescoxe.heliohost.org).   21. hi admin, On my site i have a web contact form, when user use the form to email me the email is not getting in to my inbox. i use roundbox webmail and squirrelmail. the email address i created was jeret@livuniq.com - this is already set in the php script. Domain name is : www.livuniq.com (parked domain) Server : stevie OK, found out what was the problem. I have to subscribe the folder jeret@livuniq_com in Roundcube. Why does it not go to inbox directly?
  22. Currently it's almost impossible to access the web mail interface (roundcube or the other two). Sending and receiving email seems to work though.
  23. Hi there, I am sending emails using perl modules. When sending them off, on some accounts they are received while other accounts never receive any mail. As I do not receive any mails from HelioNet/HelioHost ("Password forgotten mail", CRON, etc.) on my personal email account, I suppose the error is on your end. Especially @web.de and @gmx.de do not receive mails... They bounce back giving me: "retry time not reached for any host after a long failure period"
  24. Hi, I can't get access to my email either using an email client or via the web interface. The message is that I have exceeded my 500mb max quota. However, unless I've received a huge amount spam in the last 24 hours I can't see how that can be possible. I'm guessing maybe something weird in my inbox but I'm currently powerless to check. I updated CNAME for webmail/smtp/pop3 & imap in heliohost cPanel with the details I have from my domain registrar, also I have enabled catchall email option in my domain registrar cpanel..however I can send emails out from my domain's inbox the problem is it doesn't receive mails & the emails are bounced back when I send from gmail.
