Firefox, hands down. It is AWESOME. IE is a lame excuse for a browser. Plus if Firefox never existed, we wouldn't have IE7.

Digg is awesome! Correction: You don't have to sign up to browse. You have to sign up, however, to post new articles, "digg" articles, or comment. Yup. It gives you news on the latest technology and science stuff.

I love openoffice.. It is a GREAT open source office solution. But then again, OpenOffice doesn't have super much publicity, so most people won't know what it is. They think that Word is THE word processor when it's not. I answered "It's not microsoft" on that one survey question too

IE7 is coming out soon.. it pretty much copied Firefox's features. Fx 2.0 is in Beta 2 currently.. but IE is still BLEH!. Even the biggest microsoft fanboys hate IE *cough*There's someone in another forum I go to*cough*

Just like Mac, there's a whole different set of software for Windows. Plus on Linux you never get viruses, spyware, etc. Also, on linux you can customize your desktop appearence A LOT. Plus there's a open source alternative to almost every major proprietary application out there. EDITOO! Many many distributions are free. I recommend Ubuntu the most.

Portable Firefox here. Just run the self extracting EXE and extract it to your USB drive. Copy over your profile folder if you wish to use the same settings as your home computer.
