You can make a blog/forum/etc using Softaculous within your cPanel.

I don't quite understand your question: What will the second account be able to do?

[Solved] Better Support Site a' la StackOverflow

Thanks! Attached is what I've done so far (the design). Today I'm focusing on getting the databases set up and hopefully get a working list of questions. I've based it on a 'Late at Night' theme, although this is changeable. -

I don't understand why it would take that long? Just a couple of simple PHP codes (foreach and mysql_query) would make it work. Also, I know it could take a while to HTML code a good looking website, but with FrontPage it's dead easy! I'll start developing something, it'll probably take about a week. -
Your welcome! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to let us know!

Yeah - you can install WordPress in public_html folder or in another folder inside public_html. The only folder you really need to keep in public_html is 'cgi-bin'. See the WordPress 5-Minute-Install Guide for more info on installing WordPress. Or, you could install it via Sodtaculous in cPanel. In Softaculous, when it asks for a directory: / = /home/jje/public_html /directory = /home/jje/public_html/directory

It takes around 48 hours for accounts to become active.

Ok. The hostname for MySQL is 'localhost'. This automatically detects the actual address/hostname on the local server (the HelioHost sever).
-
Yeah - I use PHP instead of FrontPage Extensions. I didn't know FP Extensions was a form of transfer? I thought it just handled things in the site such as web forms etc.

Create the database, username and password in cPanel under 'MySQL Databases'. Example: Hostname: localhost Username: jje_user Password: testpassword Database name: jje_dbname

Shapado looks okay - but not brilliant. It doesn't look that good and a bit messy. I think making something like OSQA would be quite easy to do in just PHP. -
The Chinese government has blocked HelioHost. Sorry - there's not much we can do.

It looks like other users have had problems with FrontPage Extensions too. Have you enabled them in cPanel? I use FrontPage too! EDIT: FrontPage comes with an FTP Client built in. At the bottom, next to 'Folders', go to 'Remote Website' or something like that. Choose FTP.

In cPanel, you can set it so that the contents of subdomain.domain.com is in another folder. Eg. domain.com = /home/jje/public_html sub.domain.com = /home/jje/public_html/subdomain So, to answer yout question, yes you can.

WebDisk was disabled due to unpopularity and to minimize downtime. As an alternative, may I recommend FTP instead? It is just the same as WebDisk but less secure and faster. FTP can be setup the same way as WebDisk except you enter ftp://ftp.mysite.heliohost.org instead of http://mysite.heliohost.org:2077 However, I recommend you download an FTP Client such as FileZilla as it is much easier, less complex, and more reliable.

A subdomain is basically an attachment to a domain. Eg. subdomain.domain.com subdomain.domain.com == domain.com/subdomain It takes a few hours for a subdomain to become active. You can add subdomains in cPanel.

I like this idea - I think it would be much better than the Stack Exchange site. -
Hotmail has blocked our confirmation emails.

I hope you enjoy the service HelioHost provides. HelioHost's uptime is around 93%. It will be much better and have many more features when our new server, Charlie, has been configured.

That's alright. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Please could you provide your old and new domain as well as your cPanel username. Or, you could add the domain under Parked Domains (in cPanel) and add the following name servers to your domain (recommended) : ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org Thank you for using HelioHost, and I hope you have a wonderful experience on HelioHost.

Err, isn't Drupal compatible with MySQL?

Yes. As Wizard said. ASP.NET has been disabled as it was the main cause if downtime. Maybe in the future. Please read the Commonly Asked Questions (CAQ) guide before posting. Sorry for any inconvenience.
