  1. If you are referring to the demo, then I have just finished configuring SQLBuddy to run on the demo. When you enter SQLBuddy using the HelioPanel Demo, you will now be automatically logged in as a test user with limited privledges on a test database. Below are the details just incase:

    Hostname: localhost

    Username: paneldem_user

    Password: demo123

    Database: paneldem_database

If you are referring to your own installation, then the details correspond to your MySQL details that you have already setup within cPanel. The username and database are prefixed with your username and then an underscore (eg. jje_).

  3. At 5:00AM (PST) time, all servers experienced a Power Failure at our datacenter. The outage lasted for 18 hours, and ended at 10:00PM (PST) time. The power outage was out of our control since our servers are located in the Hurricane Electric datacentre, which was experiencing some power problems.

At the moment, the Stevie and Cody are now back online and functioning normally, but Johnny is still recovering. Thank you for your cooperation in this situation. :)

  4. i like the look of it so far, but there's no way i'm switching to it when there's nothing but a file manager
If you like you can use HelioPanel for the File Manager and cPanel for anything else; there's no reason why you can't use both.

Nice work, congratulations! Perhaps labeling the file action icons in the file manager would help contribute to ease of use?
Thanks! :D I'll keep that in mind in the next update.

Also when attempting to delete a directory, PHP gave me an error (sorry, I didn't save the error so I can't post it) and the directory was never deleted. Again, nice work!
Read this knowledge base article. ;)

    Congratulations Geoff and jje.
    Thanks! :D
  5.

In the last few months, Geoff, cl58 and I have been working on giving users of HelioHost a different control panel experience that would solve problems you faced every day when attempting to control your website. And now, we have made a Beta version which you can try out on your own accounts and use to it's full ability. At the moment it has a File Manager and SQLBuddy suppport; this control panel can be a useful tool to site administrators.

HelioPanel is a control panel offered to the user's of HelioHost's services, which allows them to easily take full control of their website without facing any problems. The aim of HelioPanel is to resolve any common issues that user's face every day, and to make website management much easier. HelioPanel is completely free and is available to all HelioHost users. Simply enter your username and password, and we will set up the control panel for you.

Installing HelioPanel is as simple as one-two-three, and you don't even need to download anything on your personal computer; just enter your username and password and the installation is completed in seconds.

You can download, demo, and learn about HelioPanel Beta at the official HelioPanel Project Website:
