Which server are you on? If it's Ricky your account will have been automatically archived because Ricky is being rebuilt. Your account will be restored when the rebuild is complete (about a week or so). If you need your account sooner you can donate at least US$1 and post the transaction ID and an admin will move you to Tommy or try your luck at signing up for a free account at midnight UTC. If you're not on Ricky I'm afraid I can't help any further and you'll need to wait for an admin to respond.

Which server are you on? The domain change script doesn't work for Johnny accounts and so domain changes have to be processed manually by an admin. Also, make sure you fill out the form on a desktop computer. There are issues with filling it out on a phone or tablet.

Hi, I have a few pieces of software installed via Softaculous that are intermittently returning 500 errors at that same time. At the same time regardless of which page I try to view or software I try to use. At the same time I am unable to use cPanel because it is also returning a 500 error. I have attached a few screenshots as evidence. The last time this occurred was at 2:09am on 22/02/2020 (UTC). Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening? See below for images One of my websites experiencing 500 error: cPanel experiencing 500 error at the same time:

Thanks very much Krydos. I have uploaded three SQL files to home/qsgt. The file I'm having trouble with is the youruls one. I'd try to import it myself except I can't even get the database to create. If you could please create a database for each of the files and import the data I would really appreciate it. The name of the database should be the same as the name of the SQL file (noting that my username has changed). Thanks Again, qsgt

Hi, I'm trying to restore my data from the Tommy crash but I'm having trouble recreating the databases. I have a SQL backup file that is 515KB that wouldn't upload to PHPMyAdmin. It just said that the upload is in progress and never stopped. I tried to delete the database and recreate it to see if that would fix it but didn't have any luck because whenever I try to recreate it in cPanel I get an error message saying "The request failed. (Error ID pch67d)". Do you have any idea what is going wrong?

Hi, Prior to the Tommy crash I had been whitelisted to send up to 500 emails a day and I was wondering if this limit could be increased again please? See this thread https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/31425-increase-daily-email-limit/ Thanks very much.

Thanks a lot. I apologise for posting multiple times. It was not intentional.

Hi, I donated in 2018 before Tommy crashed. PayPal transaction ID 5439-5214-2258-0220. Could you increase my space again please? Thanks, qsgt

To login the the support forum please try resetting your password here https://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?app=core&module=global§ion=lostpass. With regard to your Tommy account, unfortunately he recently crashed due to a Hard Drive failure. As a result, all accounts have been deleted and he is in the process of being rebuilt. The data in your account can be retrieved from the backup system by going to https://www.heliohost.org/backup/. Tommy is currently online but while he is being rebuilt no one is able to log in . An announcement will be made in the 'News forum (https://www.helionet...x/forum/1-news/) When Tommy is available and then you will be able to sign up for an account and upload your backup. All previous Tommy users will also receive an email inviting them to signup again. In the meantime, you are welcome to signup for an account or Ricky or Tommy when these servers open briefly at midnight UTC. Alternatively, if you reply with your transaction ID, and the name of the server (Johnny or Ricky) that you would like an account on an admin can assess your donation and send you an invite. If you make an account on another server and upload your backup you can request that your new account be moved directly to Tommy when signups reopen.

The server your site is hosted on (Tommy) is still in the process of being rebuilt. If you don't want an account on Ricky or Johnny then unfortunately your only option is to wait until Tommy becomes available again (likely to be early September). As a previous Tommy user you will receive an email inviting you to signup for a new account when Tommy is available. You can then upload your backup to your new account and start using your site again. If you need space increased in your account please let us know once your account has been created and an administrator can help you. I hope that answers your questions. Let us know if you have any more

You are correct that Tommy crashed due to a Hard Drive issue. However, your account has not been archived due to inactivity it was deleted as part of the process of rebuilding Tommy. The reason you are seeing the inactive page is because the system can't find your account and so it thinks it is inactive. The data in your account can be retrieved from the backup system by going to https://www.heliohost.org/backup/. Tommy is currently online but is still in the process of being rebuilt so noone is able to log in that the moment. An announcement will be made in the 'News forum (https://www.helionet.org/index/forum/1-news/) When Tommy is available and then you will be able to sign up for an account and upload your backup. All previous Tommy users will also receive an email inviting them to signup again. In the meantime, you are welcome to signup for an account or Ricky or Tommy when these servers open briefly at midnight UTC. Alternatively, if you would like to donate at least US$1 by following the instructions here https://www.heliohost.org/donate/ (or if you have already done so in the past). Then please reply with your transaction ID, donation method and the name of the server (Johnny or Ricky) that you would like an account on and you will be sent an invite once your donation has been verified. If you make an account on another server and upload your backup you can request that your new account be moved directly to Tommy when signups reopen. Let us know if you have any other questions.

According to this news post https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/34659-tomcat-9012/ Tommy should already be running verision 9

A new hard drive was installed in Tommy recently and he is currently being reconfigured and the OS is being reinstalled and will then be tested before going public. The process take about a week once the OS is installed. See: https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/36583-do-i-have-to-wait-that-tommy-get-wipped-clean-for-the-backup/?p=161891. Tommy will include an upgraded version of cPanel but I'm unsure about other upgrades. There are answers to heaps of other questions in the News forum in particular the Questions and Answers thread.

[HH#762824] temp Ricky account, DNS, volunteerism
qsgt replied to HelioHost's topic in Email Support
Hi, An administrator can send you an invite to Ricky once your donation has been verified. You can then create an account on Ricky and upload the files that you need from your Backup. The DNS records from your domain will need to be removed before it can be added to your new account. Additionally, if you try to sign up for your new account and try to add your old domain before the DNS records have been removed the creation of your account will fall. You are, however, able to signup for a new account and add a different domain (such as a HelioHost subdomain) and then add your old domain in later. If you would like to reuse your current email address on your new account I would suggest downloading your backup now as it will be harder to get it once your address is reused (it will need to be changed to one that doesn’t work in the account records and you will need an admin to manually email you your account backup). The same is true for your old username, if you would like to reuse it all record of your old account will need to be removed before you sign up (an admin can do this but your backup won’t be available). Regarding volunteering, HelioHost is different from most organisations in that it is run and supported by the community of people that use it. The best way to start volunteering is to login to your forum account and start making posts that answer people’s questions. The forum is monitored closely and and people who are active and helpful are offered promotions to Moderator and then Root Administrator. All the current root admins started out as regular users. I hope that helps. Let us know if you have other questions. -
Hi, Tommy is currently offline for maintenance because he recently crashed due to a hard drive failure. A new hard drive has been installed but he must be reconfigured and tested before he can be used again. Current estimates are that he should be available again in early September and you will receive an invite to create an account we he is available to use again. In the meantime, if you need an account now, you can create an account on Ricky or Johnny and have that account moved back to Tommy at a later date. Donating at least USD$1 will let you skip the queue (just post the Donation method and transaction ID here). Once you have an account (on any server) you can extract the files that you need from your backup and upload them to your account. Any domains that you want to reuse will need to have their DNS records cleared by a root admin first but you can make a post requesting that.

Tommy backups are not available yet. A post will be made here https://www.helionet.org/index/forum/1-news/ when they are ready. If you are still not able to access your backup after seeing the post telling you that one should be available please create a new post and an administrator will help you. Please see https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/36478-questions-and-answers/ for more information.

Your PHP database connection statement looks OK to me. Additionally, my login attempt did not generate a 500 error. I did notice that your signup page sent me to https://www.madhusudanmishra.in/register/includes/signup.inc.php and displayed an "Email not sent" message though.

It is already possible to host multiple websites on one account and Tommy is the fastest server available. Why do you require a second account?

[Solved] Change Cpanel username as well as forum username
qsgt replied to offerstrick's topic in Customer Service
An administrator can easily change your forum username but the only way to change your cPanel username is to delete and recreate your account. To do that you will need to backup your account content and go to http://www.heliohost.org/classic/support/scripts/delete to request account deletion and then signup again with your new username once your account has been deleted. If you would like to signup for a new account even when free signups have closed for the day you may do so by going to https://www.heliohost.org/donate/ and donating at least US$1. If you choose to donate please post your transaction ID here and an admin will send you an invite for a new account. Creating a new cPanel account will also create a new forum account but if you post here a admin can merge your accounts. -
Ricky does not support Java. See https://wiki.helionet.org/Java#Using_JSP_on_HelioHost for more information about using Java on HelioHost and here https://www.helionet.org/index/topic/29624-return-of-ricky/ for more information about what Ricky offers and why he dosn't support Java. If you need Java support you will need to move to either Tommy or Johnny. Once you have an account on either of these servers Java access can be requested via you cPanel (see the wiki link above for the direct links for both servers). There is no need to request access to Java via the forum. There are a limited number of Java slots and so you will need to wait for a slot to become available before access is granted. The wait is usually less on Tommy compared to Johnny. Additionally, keep in mind that if you don't use your Java access when you get it or your account is suspended while you have access you will lose access. If you decide to move you will need to backup the content of your existing account and then request for the account to be deleted by going to http://www.heliohost.../scripts/delete before signing up. Upon successful signup you can restore the backup of your old account. This is because having multiple accounts is in violation of the HelioHost Terms of Service. However, if you donate to HelioHost by going to https://www.heliohost.org/donate an admin can move your account for you. This means you can get an account even if signups are closed for the day and you don't have to backup and delete your account as your existing account can be moved directly. The minimum donation amount is USD$1. If you donate please reply with your transaction ID so that your donation can be verified and your account will then be moved.

Yes, it is possible to configure a MySQL database with HelioHost. The MySQL® Database Wizard can be found in the Databases group of your cPanel. This section is the second group of controls in your cPanel (provided your haven't rearranged the groups yourself). This wizard will guide you through the steps necessary to configure a MySQL database. If you need to configure remote access to your database you will need to visit the Remote MySQL® page which can be found in the same cPanel group.

Unfortunately, as Krydos said earlier you need to pick a different username. This is because when accounts are suspended usernames are not freed as the account is not actually deleted. If I remember correctly, HelioHost's policy is to not delete any hacked accounts (or any account used for phishing, malware distribution or any other illegal activities) in case the content of the account is requested by law enforcement for evidence in a case. The only way to change the cPanel username in an account once it has been created is to delete and recreate the account.

Hello, Please try logging in / resetting your password again now. There was an issue with the /var partition on Tommy being full which has now been fixed. Let us know if you are still having problems or if there is anything else we can help with.
