  2. The size in cpanel is broken and will always show 0. Verify that the data is in the database using phpmyadmin.

Your next step is to delete and recreate your MySQL users. Be sure to reassign them to your databases. When recreating, use the username and password found in your websites configuration file (varies by program, but often called Config.php or similar).

  3. It should still be working then. Parking (and unparking) a domain doesn't modify or remove your .heliohost.org domain. While a domain is parked, your .heliohost.org domain should continue to work.

I've changed your main domain away from its original and back again, which should make the server redo its configuration for it (its acting like the DNS entries are missing). If it's still showing DNS errors tomorrow, I'll escalate it for you.

  4. Since you didn't link to the software, I'm assuming it's this: https://github.com/foodcoops/foodsoft

That software is not supported. :(

You might be able to play with it and get it running in development mode by following the manual configuration steps. Most are just "make a copy and edit the copy", you can make/edit the copy on your PC and upload it. The database could be difficult (perhaps install it on a linux VM then export the database and import the dump in cPanel/phpmyadmin).

Bad news is that what little documentation I can find on it indicates that we don't provide the necessary dependencies anyway, so if it does run, it won't work fully.

You likely won't find a shared host that can run that. It looks like it's meant to be used on a dedicated linux installation...

  5. We don't support custom php versions hence why that option is missing. Your only choices are 5.3.8 on Stevie, or 5.4.41 on Johnny (I'd like to see 5.5 or 5.6 at some point, but it hasn't happened yet).

Supporting extra versions requires system resources we don't have. There's been talk of buying a new server to get the resources for new features like this, but who knows when it'll happen. Thanks for asking about it though :) Showing interest in a feature is the best way to have it considered for a future enhancement!

And yes, a lot of stuff in Softaculous is too old to run here (and a few are too new, like Drupal 8). Visit the script developers website to look for a current version that runs on 5.x (many do have a version that works on our versions of php). PHP 4.x has been obsolete for 7 years. We can't control what's offered in Softaculous (they determine what's offered and when it is updated), if we could, the incompatible scripts wouldn't be listed in there.

  6. Java isn't terribly resource hungry in small applications, but due to its nature it will always use more than, say, a C++ application that does the same task.

You're probably studying java because its a common choice for introductory object oriented programming. It serves very well for that purpose.

  7. Stevie has 99.97% uptime as of this post, and completely free. No need to charge for good uptime. Stevie's features are comparable to if not better than other free hosting services. Besides, one of our goals is to offer quality hosting without a price tag. We meet that goal with Stevie.

On the other hand, Johnny accounts are expected to be unreliable and buggy. Johnny is the experimental server that we play with and test updates and stuff on. He also has a pile of extras like Java that eat resources. We let users have more resources before getting suspended, and we don't regulate registrations on Johnny. Johnny is also a VM, sharing hardware with Cody (another VM hosting this board, our website, and some management stuff). Johnny accounts need longer simply because of a rather severe overload and his uptime being only 75.68%...

Stevie on the other hand has an entire physical server to itself. We regulate registration to control overpopulation (which is why it closes after a certain number of accounts every day). We more monitor usage more strictly so everyone gets their fair share. We don't test new stuff on Stevie and we don't have resource-hungry offerings like Java on there either. The result is a fast and reliable server :)

  8. Your PC is blocking the script from running most likely. When you log in, the cPanel pages are supposed to call back to the server to say you logged in. Some adblockers, tight security settings, and some antivirus programs break it because of how its implemented.

The first thing to do is to try another browser.

I unsuspended you again. By the way, the script is fixed for the future :)

  9. The old test account never deleted itself properly...as a result, the domain is now on Stevie, but the system still thinks it belongs to a Johnny account.

I'll escalate it so an admin can fully remove the domain for you. After that it's removed from Johnny, it may take 24-48 hours to correctly set up and start working on Stevie.

@Krydos or @Byron: Can you remove all references to account vnsmes and the domains and DNS for vnsmes.com on Johnny? The domain is on Stevie but resolves to Johnny since he used to have a Johnny account. Also, it shows domain entries in ACP->Domains belonging to the non-existent account...
