help I want to create mail server with heliohost
Wizard replied to mahdideveloper's topic in Questions
The ports should be mentioned on cpanel. I think you just set your mail client to the specified ports and input your email and password and you should be good to go. -
Yay for update, did we get any spiffy new features?
-
I agree with phoexer, we should've kept the helions just as a memorable. Anyways, AFAIK, there's no system in IPB that'll let us use the Karma system right now, so I think it's a no as of now.
-
You should put that on the new Helio homepage.
-
Djbob,i love you.Now i can access my site, but can t login. Now ill wait about 24 hours until you activate it and i can start.I ll tell you tomorrow if all success, but i think you fixed my problem.Thank you very much for your time. EDIT:Oh you are so fast. Thanks for activation. Now i can login to cpanel.Another thanks to you by brano It'd be nifty if you used spaces where necessary next time you post.

I remember that! I used it before. Just make sure to refresh your requests once in a while, they stop taking shots after 30 minutes I believe, and some of the shots take 40+ minutes to capture + upload.

Is the world round or flat?

Why Canada of course! -
These guys.
-
Lol, the Helionet forum is like a hidden village of ninjas.
-
Use a bot to monitor the IRC.
-
I think that's why I like Joe's irc channel idea so much, because in irc, the text throughout the day is always there, so someone could scroll up and read what happened 24 hours ago, provided that they're logged in. Maybe if we had a chatroom with a similar feature... There's only a few members on at one time now, but the new changes should draw more people in soon.
-
...AFAIK, the Heliohost flash hasn't be updated of the changes that came with Stevie. Don't listen to it.
-
You could just use a bot to keep things calm. Nowadays they are very effective and some are equipped with anti-idiot and anti-riot gear. Also, we could equipped the bot to answer questions asked a thousand times, so that they won't pollute our forums anymore. Well, chatrooms provide interaction that's just a tad faster, no? I would enjoy meeting up with members of this forum in real-time. I agree that the Big Red Text has proven ineffective, and looks unprofessional. However, a replacement for the BRT is not readily coming forth from my mind. I'm guessing once all the new stuff is in place, djbob will have no need for it, and could tone it down somewhat.
-
If someone were to actually care enough, they could set up a chatroom on a third party site. If it gets popular, djbob could just hotlink it.
-
Well it's not the fact that he only has 6; it's that they are very useless, noncontributing posts. This is the reason djbob should get mods hired and active asap.
-
Your spam hurts my eyes, please quit it.
-
It doesn't hurt to post here. You get no points for it.
-
There's not exactly anything to buy at the shop, besides domains, and I'm pretty sure that those will never be discounted, considering that djbob has to pay real money for each one.
-
Ah, your email is in the system now, even if djbob takes fixes that, you'll keep getting spam. On another note, you can edit the post yourself to remove your email address.

The first of my game dev tutorials

Someone is running an open source operating system You know it. Debian Lenny ftw. Might switch to Sid sometime in the future. Actually, Iceweasel was a pain at first, there was a weird bug that made .mozilla a folder owned by root, and Iceweasel wouldn't load at all. Anyways, getting to the post at hand: if you want to make more tutorials in the future, save yourself the bite in the [bleeped!] later by making a mysql database + php to work with now. -
*pokes* I never said anything about being loyal. I just said that if someone is around to post 500 times, they must have made friends on the forum to stay so long... or maybe they're just a loon.
-
@JcX: No, that's not what I meant. The plan I proposed was to have senior members be in charge of karma, and mods in charge of them. This, I hope, would eliminate the need for profile checks altogether. Or at least reduce them to every month instead of every day.
-
Just get the regulars to do it. Anyone who's Rank 4-5 or higher should have this power. If they've been around long enough to post that much, they can't have spammed all the way there neh? I mean, it seems to me that high ranked members care about the forum, or else why would they have posted so much? Giving them this power would just help them keep their hangout clean of annoying n00bs that spam and flame. A disciplinary system should be set up for the mods to deal with anyone abusing that power, thus relieving mods of heavy work, yet still making them relevant. Best of all, it keeps the forums clean. Hierarchy ftw. On another note.. if we go with this system, do the mods still have to go through profiles everyday?

Totally agree, I am running Linux and I would have to install xpdf just to read your tutorial. Then I'd have to set Iceweasel to open the PDF with xpdf. Too lazy... -
I like the Karma idea. I think one should maintain 50 karma always in order to get a domain. Or something to that effect. Karma deteriorates if you don't visit the forum. Or you could do something like FriHost, they'll kill your website account if you don't have 15 posts a month, and all post are monitored for quality. Which actually sounds a lot like what is being mentioned above. On another note, I love "who has the hat"....
