  1. Yeah, I really like IPB as well, it was used for the first forum I ever visited and I used it for the first forum I ever created.
  2. Lets get set this straight because I don't want a repeat of last time: English is your first language right?
  3. Methinks that you should make it clear to them of that. It seems that some don't understand "complex" words like "Top Level Domain".
  4. PDF is widespread, yes, but anyone without PDF software is screwed. If you write in HTML, you won't have that problem, because the only way they couldn't read that file is if they didn't have a web browser, and if that was the case, they couldn't even get on your site in the first place. XD
  5. Yeah, you don't really even need Helions for much nowadays anyways.
  6. You recomend what instead? HTML, XHTML, XML, SGML, etc, etc.
  7. I agree with Trippin, you're headed down a dark path. Plus, you haven't posted a way to do this in Linux, so even if it were legit, I wouldn't support it.
  8. *pokes* How come the tutorial's in PDF format? *Me gags at the thought of adobe*
  9. Magic. Seriously though, I'm guessing Mibbit works on some AJAX or something. Definitely some PHP in there. There was a time before Flash and Java ya know? Content can be revised in real time in more ways than I can count.
  10. Yeah, this place is pretty nifty; as long as you're not a spamming newb, we're happy to help you with any website related issues, from design to debugging. *thumbs up*
  11. Hey, I don't know about 3 and 4 (I'm just waiting for my old site to expire), but I think for 1 and 2, it's a permissions problem. I dun think you can do anything about 2. For 1, try setting all your files in cgi-bin to 755 or something of that sort. If you dunno what I'm talking about, there should be numbers to the right of each file in the cpanel file manager, those are the ones you have to fiddle with.
  12. Then I guess I'm right in front of you too, wearing it.
  13. ...Quit spamming, please and thank you.
  14. You've never heard of Schroedinger have you?
  15. There's a really easy Javascript called command window.reload() or something, I suggest you set it to reload every few seconds, instead of every message... Go look it up on w3schools, they have a spiffy AJAX tutorial too.
  16. Yeah, but Danny Boodman T. D. Lemon 1900 never touched ground either, they planning that for their son as well? *Legend of 1900 is Wizard's all time favorite movie* Anyways I have never seen any wrong info on Wikipedia except twice, and both incidents were minor.
  17. That was my sig on this forum for the longest time. Anyways, Schrodinger's hat: The hat is [blink]not[/blink] on my head.
  18. Lol, it's almost as bad as The Game. Ha, made ya lose.
  19. Wine can BSOD? Who has the hat? No, he's playing it on actual Windows. I'm saying that, should he move to Linux, KOTOR works with Wine. I have the hat.
  20. Short answer, YES. Long answer... well you'd have to see my PhD thesis paper for that... Just kidding. But I believe your argument has a hole. If we talk about a specific Wikipedia article, it is unlikely two million people have checked it over and edited it to make it truthful. Some articles only have one or two people maintaining them, so it would be easy for such an article to have errors.
  21. Sure, we'll go with that. Happy you-were-kicked-out-of-your-first-living-space Day. I wanted to use this one, but it seems too vulgar coming from me:
  22. @Frankie: I do. If Doc Steel was here, he'd agree. And so would the dead kittens. @jjpriest25: According to the Wine database, KOTOR plays well.

    Changes Coming

...*drool* Hurrah for 2.5Gigs of Bandwidth! Not to rush, but are the mod apps out soon?
  24. Wine isn't that hard to figure out, but yeah, it's true that running WIndows games on Linux can sometimes be a pain. Linux has some pretty spiffy games itself you know. What games do you have in mind? Anywho: Ew... copyright? Copyleft is so much better. Better yet is a Creative Commons license.
  25. It was GIMP'd. BSODs are lame, go with linux. I still have the hat.
