  1. I believe miovitz is the cPanel username and a6745589 was the username he was assigned with his previous host. Your issue is like jje said, you just have to put in the correct things in config.php and you should be able to use the backup. Create a user and database, upload the backup into that database and then use the user/database you created in config.php.
  2. Try reinstalling and giving me the link to wherever you're suppose to see it. Post what you put in config.php.
  3. It should have worked... you're saying the site worked for 24 hours and then died? Could you explain exactly what you tried?
  4. I mean what did you put in config.php for the MySQL details?
  5. What did you try to install? What details did you put in the config?
  6. Did you set the nameservers/park the domain on cPanel?
  7. Don't post multiple threads about the same problem. Wait for admins to get back to you in your other thread.
  8. AOL might have marked us as spam. Did you check your spam folder? In my opinion, AOL isn't a great email provider anyways though. I prefer Gmail.
  9. Wrong forum, moved to customer support. It would be helpful if you posted the errors and provided your username/domain name/server.
  10. @Admins: Try to make sure there's no other admin reading the thread when you are (via "1 User(s) are reading this topic... etc"). If someone was there before you (ignoring me, I'm just lurking), they're probably dealing with it.
  11. Speed doesn't really matter by itself. You'd have to factor in how many users there are on each server. This is a question that can't really be a simple yes or no. I recommend having an account based on what you need on your account.
  12. This thread is about 6 months old. Please don't bring back old threads; create new ones instead. Have you read this? http://www.heliohost.org/home/features/languages/python
  13. I thought all the documentation was changed to say the HelioHost homepage?
  14. Have you considered using a Content Management System instead?
  15. Why don't we bug cPanel support about this?
  16. No. If you registered for a heliohost subdomain (and added your main domain as a parked domain), you can visit that, but if you registered "kuribosshoes.com", you won't be able to access your site until you point the nameservers to ours.
  17. @djbob: implementing this? @3dready: 000webhost makes profit. They're practically a paid host. We don't/aren't.
  18. No clue, djbob is on it though.
  19. Stevie. Probably. Johnny has all the "dangerous" processes running.

Hi Cassandra, I'm new too. After just a few days reading news and posts I believe Johnny is a virtual server on a brand new server named Charlie which also hosts another virtual machine named Cody which now runs database, files and DNS and heliohost.org. So I believe the map is the following (probably I'm wrong): Stevie Charlie -- Cody -- Johnny As people migrate from Stevie to Johnny is expected that its load will decrease, but migrating is not just a matter of load but mainly of programming base, since Johnny aims to allow ASP, and RoR has moved from Stevie to Johnny as DNS Bind was moved from Stevie to Cody. Please note that these are not assertions but just my impressions. If the unit of measure of load used is the usual one, the load of Stevie is extremely high, and in that circumstances is normal to have response time problems. Hope this helps, regards, Javier ASP.NET*, but that pretty much sums it up.

  23. Pinning this because it's helpful.
  24. You probably already have an account so that the sign up script is blocking you from making another. But in case you don't, what username/domain/email are you trying to sign up with? No, you don't need to point the nameservers before you sign up.
