This seems unlikely to happen. Crowd sourcing the lobbying is a good idea though, and I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled off something similar to Tumblr, but completely downing the service for any amount of time is against the companies' interests. I'm on the fence regarding whether or not they'll coordinate. It also seems to me that the article tried to spin itself in favor of SOPA.
