Can someone help me? is there anyway to create new user for mysql database or change old user data (grant all privileges, remote access) without cpanel?

For the future, I'd recommend creating a separate topic instead of replying to a news post.

That being said, you might have some luck with using phpMyAdmin to access your database, if you upload it using FTP.

  2. SPF is a text record for your domain that verifies the IP address the email was sent from is allowed to send emails from your domain. Since you're using Google Workspaces, perhaps this explanation might help: Google Help. Essentially, you'll need to create a TXT record like this one: v=spf1 mx a ip4:<your email server's IP> ~all.

As for DKIM, that one's a bit more complicated. Unless HestiaCP allows you to create a DKIM key, you'll need to create one yourself, and add it as to your domain's text records accordingly.

  3. Just to clarify on a few points - websites will in fact be taken offline, but backups are/will be provided. If you're looking to migrate to a VPS, Krydos might be able to help with that. As for why Plesk was chosen, I don't know for certain, but a lot of open source panels aren't as robust as industry solutions, which is a big reason as to why HelioHost used cPanel for the last sixteen years. Being scalable to hundreds of accounts is a high bar to pass.

  4. I'm a little confused as to why nameservers are involved. If you're trying to setup email, you don't need to fiddle with the name server settings. Normally you can use HelioHost's name servers, but they're currently impacted by the revocation of our cPanel licenses. I'm not sure who your domain provider is, but for example my domain came with preconfigured name servers. If you're trying to point the domain "zaldivar.mx" to your VPS, you'll want to create an "A" record that points to your VPS's IP address.

For email, you'll want to create an MX record that points to your email server. It's a little complicated - the MX record needs to point to your email server, not an IP address. Mine is configured to point mydomain.com to mail.mydomain.com. The second domain (mail.mydomain.com) can then point to your VPS's IP. However, I don't think that's the cause of the "Service Unavailable" page you're seeing - for that I'd check the error logs, if Hestia provides them.

When HelioHost was created, was it gifted licenses from cPanel?

Do you know if this happened to any other hosting sites?

I believe HelioHost had a discounted cPanel license due to its nonprofit status (so not free, but not $17,000/year - I could be mistaken though). As for if this has happened to other hosting sites, no idea.

Why do you think this happened?

There's no official explanation that I'm aware of. cPanel can choose to provide licenses or revoke them, and looks like today it was the latter. Definitely unfortunate for everyone involved though.
