The filemanager didn't change my permissions correctly the last time I tried. Use a program called SmartFTP. It works perfectly for uploading files and changing permissions.

Maybe check to see if everythings plugged in at the back? Opening it up and cleaning all the dust out with a vacuum cleaner usually works. Btw, dust is a conductor of electricty, mabye hard to believe, but it is. Been proven.

I'v always hade Symbian. It's 100X better than Java. The reason I choose Symbian above Windows Mobile is because there is alot more free software available for the OS, unlike Windows Mobile, you have to buy most software. Although, the iMate PDA2K looks like a brilliant device, I'v been eying it for a while now.
