  1. Neither server comes with a certificate. We don't issue certificates. There is no cost to use a certificate on any server we currently offer. Krydos posted a rough guide on using LE through zerossl with one of our servers though (and the user who tried it writing a Wiki article for it): http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/26914-ssh-on-tommy/ It should work on Johnny too.

  2. A good example of why you would use aliases is if you own a business named "My Example Business", and you want to register some domains. It's common to buy the myexamplebusiness.com, myexamplebusniess.biz, myexamplebusiness.net, myexamplebusiness.us, etc. to prevent your customers from becoming confused or someone setting up a really similar domain name and maybe stealing your customers. You could just add all those domains as aliases to your main domain and if someone visits myexamplebusiness.com or myexamplebusiness.us they are shown the exact same content without having to copy all of your files to two different domains.

  3. Hey, Aliases are basically separate domain names which can access and display the same webpages as your default one and can act as another domain liked to the same set of data. They help when you have various names or would like to use another name for the same website. Obvously, it is not necessary to use them! It is only when you require another domain to work side-by-side with the default one. The domain registrar you use will give you a few options of how you would like to use this domain name. You can select to use DNS/Point Domain and fill up in the provided spaces insert the two nameservers of Heliohost, ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org . Then in your cPanel, select Aliases(in paper lantern theme) and enter your domain name. There you go. Within 15 minutes-24 hours based on your domain registrar, your domain will successfully point to your heliohost server.
