Your Tommy account was created in 2019, so we always recommend doing a reset on anything that was transferred from cPanel. I started a full backup of the ancient robev account for you, and in a few minutes it will be available to download from https://heliohost.org/backup Once the full backup is downloaded and you are sure you have everything you need let us know and we can do the reset. As far as canceling and deleting the VPS you can do that yourself at https://heliohost.org/dashboard/cancel/ Make sure you login with the username rob33x for your VPS. If you login with your email address it is ambiguous because both the VPS and the Tommy account have the same email address so it will probably default to logging in to Tommy.

Looks like the Apache restart finished or has been unstuck, though the server is still seeing quite a bit of load. Your website is currently up.
-
Apache looks like it got stuck while restarting as there's a large number of other maintenance tasks piled up behind the restart in the queue. I'm waiting for a response in a staff channel about it...

Hello, I am hosting a Node.js API on dead-run.helioho.st (HelioHost / Plesk). The app never starts: every request shows the generic Phusion Passenger error page (“We’re sorry, but something went wrong” / “Web application could not be started by the Phusion Passenger application server”). The Error ID changes on every refresh, so I assume the process crashes on startup each time. My setup Application root: /httpdocs Document root: /httpdocs Application startup file: server.js Node.js version (panel): 23.11.1 Package manager: npm (I run NPM install from the panel and Restart App) Custom environment variable: LEADERBOARD_JSON_ONLY=true (to avoid native SQLite; the app can fall back to a JSON file) What I have already tried Uploaded a CommonJS server.js with module.exports = app (no listen() under Passenger). Dependencies: Express 4 and cors in package.json; removed native better-sqlite3 from the critical path when using the env var above. Deleted node_modules and ran a fresh npm install, then Restart App. Confirmed server.js, package.json, and node_modules are under /httpdocs. Cleared browser cache; waited after changes. What I need from you Please check the Passenger / Node.js logs for my account/domain and tell me the real stack trace (e.g. missing module, permission denied on data/, Node version issue, etc.). I do not have access to /var/log/passenger/passenger.log from my side. If something in my Plesk Node.js settings is wrong (application root vs document root, Node version, or permissions on /httpdocs / data/), please advise what to change. Sample Error IDs (if helpful): I can provide the latest ID from the Passenger page if you tell me where you prefer I paste it. Thank you for your help. Best regards, smel Domain: dead-run.helioho.st

I've been getting consistent "504 Gateway Timeout" and "502 Bad Gateway" errors all day today. While server status 1 and 2 say the Johnny server is up, something is causing these two errors. Last time I got the same errors because my account was locked (due to FTP over-quota usage). So this time, before posting here, I checked that my account is active and that my website pages are not showing an account suspension notice.
-
Right that's why I posted this here. I thought an administrator can help me... Regarding deleting things, again, I don't know if that's why my it says my account is suspended, or why I can't log into FTP, and I don't know what files are taking up so much space.
-
An administrator will be able to help with this.
-
An administrator can help you with canceling your VPS. For your Tommy account - you can either request an administrator to delete some files for you, upgrade your account storage, or reset the account from the dashboard page: https://heliohost.org/dashboard/
-
Domain added. The domain may take up to 2 hours to function, and since your account is also mid-move, it may need to wait until the move finishes as well.

robev started following Close VPS and reopen Tommy

Hi. I've had both a free account on Tommy and a paid VPS for several years. I don't really use the VPS features so I'd like to close my VPS and migrate back to using my account on Tommy. https://robbiewolfe.heliohost.org username robev I've backed up what I want from my VPS. When I tried logging in using FTP to my Tommy account, it says "Authentication failed. Could not connect to server". The account details I'm using are tommy2.heliohost.org, port 1373 Perhaps those have changed? I haven't logged in in a few years. When I logged in to Plesk, it says my account was suspended. It also says there's 1001.5 MB used of 1000 MB, perhaps that's why? I'm not sure why so much space is being used. Perhaps wordpress backups. But I can't log in to FTP to check... Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Your account has been unsuspended and the mailbox passwords for all of your mailboxes have been randomized. You'll need to reset your mailbox passwords to use them. I also removed the forwarder from diretoria@escolasmt address. Forwarded emails count as sent messages (and you had 4 recipients, so each email it received caused 4 emails to be sent). We highly recommend not using forwarders, as just receiving mail will cause you to exceed your mail limit through no fault of your own. Users are limited to 50 sent emails per day for the entire account, so with that forwarder, receiving just 13 emails would've caused you to exceed the limit.

Unblocked. It was listed as DDOS, so was the firewall trying to mitigate downtime on Johnny due to an attack (the user whose site was the target of that attack since been banned). During these attacks, anyone who opens more than a few connections to the server is prone to being blocked, including users unrelated to the attack and visitors to your website. In the event of another attack it is completely possible you'll get blocked if you access your site during the attack.

From my home IP, 73.180.xx.xx, either my domain, https://johnny.heliohost.org/, or even the login through the main web site times out, just as has happened before. I load a web page maybe once a day, but it might be triggered by use of a machine with Firefox ESR and Win11 beta channel. Beyond an unblock, please remediate this issue so it doesn't happen again. Also, no more discord chat icon on the heliohost site?

Domain added. If you're not already using HelioHost's nameservers, you'll need to create an A/AAAA record to Tommy's IP address. It'll take effect in about 100 minutes.

Request to increase max_input_vars to 5000 (PHP Settings)
Krydos replied to costacja's topic in Escalated Requests
Yes, I can change the max_input_vars, but if you change the PHP version the max_input_vars will go back to the default value. Therefore you should make sure you're using the correct version of PHP prior to changing the max_input_vars. Generally it's a good idea to use the latest version of PHP that your software supports. Since Moodle doesn't support PHP 8.5 yet, that means PHP 8.4 is the latest support version, and yet you're using PHP 8.3. Like I said, is there any particular reason you can't use PHP 8.4? -
Request to increase max_input_vars to 5000 (PHP Settings)
costacja replied to costacja's topic in Escalated Requests
Hi, I have installed Moodle 5.0.3 via Softaculous on my subdomain elearning.minutice.helioho.st, and it works well with PHP 8.3 and 8.5. However, when I try to upgrade to Moodle 5.0.6, the process fails. The error message states that max_input_vars must be set to at least 5000. Yesterday, I installed Moodle 5.1.3 from Softaculous in minutice.helioho.st domain, to try, and it works well. Besides the first installation, which works, I think that I cannot update or upgrade Moodle if max_input_vars isn´t set to 5000 at least. Based on my tests, the PHP version itself isn't the issue, but rather this specific setting required for the upgrade process. Could you please help me adjust this setting or update it on your end? Thanks, C. Costa -

It looks like Moodle doesn't support PHP 8.5 yet, but is there any particular reason you're not using PHP 8.4 which Moodle does support?
