Yeah, doing a quick IP lookup shows that this person is from the Netherlands. Is it possible to change the password used to login OR is it possible to use SSH keys to log in instead? (Obviously after the rebuild).

At least this should prove against a bot. I couldn't see what the new opened tab shows and if succeded. Ctrl+Click opens it in the background. The guide says you can start 30 seconds before so i did. This is the sqlite from firefox history. You can look at the visit count. The signup page is pretty light to my understanding. 200 pages open shouldn't be that hard for a 24GB computer. I casualy have 50-80 tabs open during research. I hope this helps. Thank you for your time.

There were 94 attempts after you got the account, which seems a bit excessive. Usually there's far fewer if any. That doesn't count the 207 clicks before the registrations even opened...I don't know of too many browsers that would even handle running that number of tabs without running out of memory and crashing. Any insights on this? Once we receive your response to the above, I'll consider them and decide.

Hi, I understand. I have not used any bot nor did anything programmatically. I followed the https://wiki.helionet.org/Signing_Up#Helpful_Tips_for_Getting_a_Free_Account_on_Johnny and when at 30 seconds i began clicking. Due to network lag and because i didn't now how the page reacts on success, instead of clicking and waiting, i spawned a new tab in every click (Ctrl+Click). This resulted in multiple open tabs that I later searched for the one with the mail form. Again all actions where done manually 🙂. Thank you

Yep, so apache-tomcat-10.1.30, /home/ocarina/SCP, /home/steam/steamcmd, and /home/steam/.config. Did anyone else's VPS get hacked or was it just mine? And is it possible to see the IP of the person who logged in to attack those other servers?

So I need the apache tomcat folder in `/home/ocarinavps`, the `/home/steam/steamcmd` directory, the `/home/steam/.config/` directory, and the `/home/ocarinavps/SCP` directory. I believe that is everything but if you are able to send a file list of `/home/ocarinavps` that would be great.

Yes your VPS was hacked and started bruteforcing SSH on random servers. A rebuild is mandatory to continue using your VPS.

Also, I received an email saying my VPS got hacked. I created a new user on my VPS so that my friend could connect to it and setup mailcow. Then I got the email saying it was hacked.

You're welcome! 🙂 A VPS is counted separately from the shared hosting plans. You can only have 1 account on Tommy or Johnny, but as many VPS on top of that as you want.

Thanks for the detailed information on this! I had no idea that plesk could be configured to auto-pull via web hook. I might see about having this added to our Wiki as I'm sure others will find this useful. Been an admin for ~13 years and still learning something new every day...

It's a library that's meant to be implemented through Composer. If your project doesn't use composer, you'll need to set that up, after which you can just add the package to your composer.json file. When you do a composer install the result is a vendor folder with all the dependencies and a custom-built autoloader script that you call from your code to load them all. Composer is one of those things that's usually best done on your local PC. Once you get everything working, you can commit the composer.json file in your git repo (the vendor folder itself is typically excluded). Plesk has Composer support, so you can use that to process the composer.json and install the required dependencies right on the server.

I hope this might help to someone. I found a method on how to add a git submodule and auto deploy it on a specific folder on my site. on the plesk panel. I navigated on the websites & domains tab, and on the dev tools, I chose Git: then, I clicked create new repository. Input the github url, and configured the folder path on where I would like to deploy it: after creating the new repository, it would automatically clone the repo on that path. to allow plesk to be notified when certain events happen and automatically clone the changes, pull, and deploy from the github repo. I used webhook feature. I edited the git repository in plesk panel, and copied the webhook url: after that, I navigated to the my github repository and clicked settings then webhooks: added a webhook and add the webhook url you just copied in plesk: ...and tadaa!! hope it helps!
