Hello! I've added that domain to your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for the domain change to take effect, and it will not work until you set up your DNS with your domain registrar.

To configure your DNS, please see the steps provided on our Wiki to either set NS records pointed at the HelioHost nameservers, or create A/AAAA records and point them to your server's IPv4/IPv6 address: https://wiki.helionet.org/Addon_Domains#Custom_Addon_Domains

If after a full 2 hours it doesn't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache

Please let us know if we can help with anything else. Thanks!

Earlier today I asked to have a custom domain addon added to my account (seand.net) which went through just fine and the
addon domain got it's own folder as outlined in the wiki. Thank you!

However, is there a way my account can be setup so that any changes I make under my main domain webroot (./seand/httpdocs/*) are reflected both for https://seand.helioho.st/ as well as the addon domain https://seand.net/
Basically, if someone were to visit: https://seand.net/some_dir/some_page.html it would be the same content as https://seand.helioho.st/some_dir/some_page.html
(while displaying https://seand.net/some_dir/some_page.html in the URL bar)
I'm not aware of the proper technical terminology but something along the lines of a symbolic link or alias so that (./seand/seand.net/* --> ./seand/httpdocs/*). I would like to be able to manage all my files under the single folder ./seand/httpdocs/* if that's possible.

Thanks again for helping me get my hobbyist website setup,

Sean

We usually recommend people just do a redirect to the preferred domain. So if someone knows about seand.helioho.st already and goes to it they redirected to the fancy new seand.net domain instead with a 301 permanent redirect. This means that search engines and bookmarks, etc that had the old free domain will update their links.

Is there any reason you need both domains to work and both show the same content or do you have a preferred domain that you would rather have people on?
