chrisohps Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Good afternoon; Since early this morning, been having some issues with accessing my site at https://news.burken.com A couple of things I noticed and wondered if it had an impact: I've always logged in and accessed my account via tommy.heliohost. today I noticed I'm on morty2.heliohost. Did my subscription to tommy lapsed? I am able to access all my other sites except for the one mentioned above. I have looked at the log files but can't figure out what could be the issue. When testing the SSL, the DNS points to tommy and comes back unreachable or unverified. Any help on this would be appreciated. chrisohps Thank you. Quote
wolstech Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Your account was moved to Morty because we determined during a routine compliance audit that your account is being used to host a commercial website, which is not permitted on Tommy or Johnny due to our discounted Plesk licensing on those servers. From our terms of service: Quote Johnny and Tommy plans are intended for non-commercial uses, such as hobbyists, development environments, registered nonprofits, and personal websites. Microbusinesses that just launched are acceptable but are subject to review. HelioHost reserves the right to require users switch to Morty or a VPS if it is determined that your website belongs to a commercial business. This is a requirement of Plesk's nonprofit licensing. You should have received an email similar to the below, however because you were one of the first accounts moved, it's possible it moved before the email notification was in place. Quote Congratulations! You have been selected to receive a free trial of our best hosting plan: Morty! The Morty plan is our fastest hosting designed for production websites and commercial businesses with the best possible uptime we can provide. You don't have to worry about getting suspended for high load. You don't have to worry about getting suspended for inactivity if you forget to log in. You don't even have to worry about getting suspended for hosting a commercial website, which would violate our terms of service on Tommy or Johnny. At any time during the trial, you can make the upgrade permanent by going to heliohost.org/dashboard/billing and using one of the payment buttons to add a prepaid balance to your account. If the billing page isn't showing up yet, you may need to wait a few minutes for the move to complete and try again. We hope you enjoy the best hosting plan that HelioHost has to offer. You are receiving this free trial because we believe you may be violating our terms of service by hosting a commercial website on the Tommy plan. If you choose not to remain on Morty, you must either demonstrate that your website is not commercial or remove the site before downgrading back to Tommy. Failure to remain upgraded, demonstrate that your site is not commercial, or remove the commercial site may result in suspension when the free trial ends. This restriction is required by Plesk, which provides discounted licenses for Tommy and Johnny on the condition that we do not allow commercial websites to be hosted on those plans. This agreement saves us more than $2,300 per year, so losing it would have a significant financial impact. For this reason, commercial websites must remain on Morty, which costs as little as $1 per month. Please let us know if you run into any issues or have any questions regarding the free trial. You can reply to this email, contact us on our forum at helionet.org or chat with us at heliohost.org/chat You'll need to prove the websites on your account do not belong to commercial businesses, start paying for Morty, or remove the commercial websites before the trial expires.
