[HH#516703] How to recreate my free account with a new email address after my old account was deleted due to Johnny server failure?

Hello,

I have been a user of HelioHost, using the free Johnny plan. I'm aware that the Johnny server failed some time ago, and when I attempt to log in to HelioHost to check the status, it shows the page of "Deleted Account". I have to enter my email address to get an invite.

However, my email address used for HelioHost no longer works (and unfortunately I did not update my HelioHost account info in time before I realize that my email address no longer works), and if I enter my new address, it will say that "There is no account in our database that matches that email address."

To sum it up, I can log in to HelioHost but I have no way to recreate account.

Can you please help? Thank you very much in advance and sorry for disturbing.

We are unable to send an invite to that address because it is disposable. Our terms of service prohibits disposable email addresses.

Can you please provide a non-disposable, non-temporary email address?

I am sorry, and I hope this email address fits your requirements. For your reference, for the email service of the following address, you need one account per one address, so I believe it does not belong to the "disposable" or "temporary" category,

henrystracke@airmail.cc

If the above email address still does not meet your requirements, I can give you a Tuta (formerly known as Tutanota) or a ProtonMail address. Thank you very much for your help.

Invite sent. 

Just a heads up though, the airmail.cc service is flagged as malicious by AdGuard and a few other services. If you don't receive the invite, let's try one of the other addresses.

Thank you so much, I have received the invite successfully and created a new account with username u88629431 (the system does not let me use the old username, so I added "1" to my old username to become my new username).

Can you please guide me on how to retrieve my backup in https://heliohost.org/backup/ ? Since my old address is no longer working, if the system sends the link to download my backup to my old address, I won't be able to get it.

(I have some older backup archives from the past, but I would like to see if I can get a more recent archive of my website before the server failure.)

To verify your identity, please submit your OLD account's password on this page: https://heliohost.org/password/ Then let us know when it has been submitted.

Despite the language, we're not actually going to change your password, but will use the the hash from the password change request to compare to your old account to prove you know its password.

I have sent you a download link for your backup from 2024-07-25. There is also a backup from 2026-05-08. Once you download the 2024 backup and have the file saved locally let us know and I can send you a link to download the 2026 backup.
