HelioHost Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Username: verdegenius, Server: Johnny, Main domain: verdegenius.helioho.stHello HelioHost Support Team, I hope you are doing well. I am contacting you because I encountered an error while trying to upload my backup file to restore my account. The backup file is: myaccout_2026-05-08.tar.gz When I attempt to upload it, I receive the following error message: "Error: Unable to upload myaccout_2026-05-08.tar.gz to the server storage: Unable to import file as dump: Import error: Unable to find the archive metadata. The archive is not a valid Plesk backup or has been created in an unsupported Plesk version." I am not sure how to proceed from here. Could you please advise me on what steps I should follow to successfully restore my account? If the backup format is incompatible, I would appreciate guidance on how to convert it or whether you can assist with the restoration. Thank you very much for your help and support. Best regards, Gustavo Error: Unable to upload myaccout_2026-05-08.tar.gz to the server storage: Unable to import file as dump: Import error: Unable to find the archive metadata. wolstech Posted May 25 Posted May 25 You have to unpack it on your PC using a tool like 7zip and restore the files inside manually. It should just be a tar.gz file of the files in your old account's home folder. The backups from the crashed Johnny cannot be restored automatically.
