Dear HelioHost Support Team,
Thank you for your email and for bringing this to my attention.
I am writing to clarify the situation. I can confirm that I have only one account with HelioHost, which is registered under the email address zhoushiyi25@hotmail.com.
The only website I have deployed on your service is a personal RSS site. I use it solely to track academic updates for my research, and it is not open to the public for registration. There may have been a misunderstanding regarding its purpose.
I understand your policy on multiple accounts and can assure you that I am in full compliance. If you require any further information to verify my account status or the nature of my website, please let me know.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,

[https://heliohost.org/images/mail/multiple.png]Hey Ually,

First of all, thank you for your recent donation! However, we have noticed a new login to your account that may indicate a violation our Terms of Service. If you didn't read our Terms during the creation of your account you may do so now by going to https://heliohost.org/terms/

Sometimes this can be triggered erroneously by one of the following:

? Multiple family members creating an account from the same internet connection.
? Logging in from a school internet connection where another student also has an account.
? Logging in from a work internet connection where a coworker also has an account.
? Maintaining an account for someone else.

In the last year, 60% of the accounts we were forced to suspend were because people didn't read the first line in our Terms of Service and created more than one account without getting permission in advance. This applies to both our free Johnny accounts and donor Tommy accounts. If you'd like to have more than one account you may do so by moving your accounts to our Morty plan which does not have a limit.

Since we're a small non-profit organization funded primarily by donations we don't have a huge budget to purchase an unlimited number of servers to keep up with the demand for accounts. We turn away hundreds of people every day who would love to have an account, but we can't host their website because our servers are so full. We don't think it's fair for some people to have more than one account, while at the same time, so many other people aren't able to have an account at all.

If you did create more than one account, just let us know which one you'd like to keep, or explain what the situation is. You can reply to this email or click the Contact Support button below to let us know how we can help. Please respond to this within the next 24 hours to avoid any downtime for your website(s). Thanks.

Thank you for your prompt response.
To answer your question, I am not logging in from a university network. I am 40 years old and currently work for a medical services company, so as a rule, I do not use academic networks for my connection.
The only exception I can think of is that I occasionally use my Shanghai Jiao Tong University employee account to log in to institutional portals for downloading academic literature. This, however, only grants access to specific publisher websites and is not a full-network connection like a VPN.
For your reference, my personal VPN provider is VPN Unlimited, and my Internet Service Provider is located in Shanghai. My ISP does not provide me with a public IP address.
I hope this information helps clarify the situation. Please let me know if you require any further details.
Best regards,

Thank you for providing the additional details.
Thinking it over, I can recall one possible explanation. I use a network service application that sometimes requires me to switch its configuration to a "global mode." This is occasionally necessary to bypass internet censorship in China to access services like my Gmail account.
It is possible that on one of these occasions, the application routed my connection through a server that uses T-Mobile's network in the US. This would be a function of the app itself, and unfortunately, I have no further information or technical details beyond this speculation.
I hope this potential explanation is helpful. Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide.
Best regards,

That's probably what happened. It's interesting that no one is showing this IP as a VPN, but it seems like it definitely has a VPN running on it.
