[HH#864143] question about deleted accounts

I noticed after I deleted my account recently, if I go to
heliohost.org/status for example, it still shows that the account was
deleted and asks if I want to recreate it. Is that new with the feature, it
keeps your email address in the system how does that all work, just curious.

That feature was added a few months back after the Johnny crash and it's original purpose was to let people who lost their account in that crash to recreate the account themselves without waiting for open signups or contacting support.

It has since been expanded to all accounts that no longer exist, except those that were suspended at the time of deletion.

If you would like your email address removed completely, you can ask us to do so however you won't be able to recreate your account later without going through the normal sign up process.

Yes if someone could remove my email address tht would be fine, my
original purpose for the account was to run an internet radio station but
plans fell through after the recent passing of my wife, so I can always
sign up again in the future.

Your email address has been removed from the self-recreate system. Sorry to hear about your wife. That's really sad. We'll always be here when you're ready to experiment with your website again.
