HelioHost Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Username: moo1210, Server: Ricky, Main domain: projectlifttest.heliohost.org Hello there, In Cpanel I=E2=80=99m a=ttempting to add an alias for projectlifttest.ml and in the DNS for project=lifttest.ml I set a record for projectlifttest.ml as the same as shown in t=he Zone editor. When attempting to make such alias I get an error saying ==E2=80=9CThere was an error when the system attempted to create the alias. =Park::park failed: (XID d6j64a) Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an =IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this ser=ver. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your ad=ministrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the p=roper A entries on that remote nameserver.=E2=80=9D =
HelioHost Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 Almost forgot to say, my username is= moo1210 and the website I=E2=80=99m attempting to do this on is projectlifttest.heliohost.org=
wolstech Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 You need to change your name servers to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org to add the domain. On freenom, this is under “custom dns”.
HelioHost Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 Is there a way to have a custom doma=in without using your DNS servers? I already use cloudflare and wish to sta=y with them. =
Krydos Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 You have to change the nameservers to prove to cpanel that you control the domain, otherwise people would do dumb things like try to add google.com to their account. Once the domain is added through cpanel you can change your nameservers back to whatever you want.
