skullys Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 Check and make certain you are on the Paypal "Canada" site: https://www.paypal.com/ca/home Not sure if this will make a difference...
Krydos Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 If paypal is detecting your country wrong, I'm sure you can go to settings and change the localization options.
BlueyEmperor Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 (edited) Here in Canada it should also be with a (dot).I realise that, it should be in decimal format in Canada . It could be due to locale codes, maybe because of your default language? According to https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/reference/locale-codes/#supported-locale-codes, there are two locale codes for Canada. This could be a contributing factor, but I'm not certain. EDIT: Or as Krydos mentioned, try your settings if possible. Edited September 28, 2019 by BlueyEmperor
Flaze Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 It's fr_ca/fr-ca. I guess that's the culprit here.
Sn1F3rt Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 Yeah, even in India, PayPal shows up with a decimal point for INR as well as USD. Well for everyone, it is indeed possible for things to show up with a comma, as at a web hosting company, I'd seen price to be $4,99. So I was baffled if it was $499, then I realised.
Guest snowm Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 If paypal is detecting your country wrong, I'm sure you can go to settings and change the localization options.Ya, I have it in USD, as I am from USA.
Luigi123 Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 I don’t see anything wrong on my screen when I made a donation to Heliohost. It’s showing in decimal dot.
nuk Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 Whoa, just received an email from Heliohost support that I was migrated back to Tommy (I had been temporarily on Ricky during the shutdown), and WOW the pages seem to load really fast!!! Thank you again for all the hard work and outstanding service!
garrigue Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 <p>The thing is - HelioHost had also received many donations through PayPal which made them reach 85% of their goal. Besides, Sparkie will serve as a good opportunity to rebuild Johnny and increase it's efficieny.<br /><br />Also in the past, we've seen HelioHost lose a lot of money but for the sake of their users, they continued then too. If I amnt wrong, last year itself, they lost $1839, still they continued their services.<br /><br />If you wanna thank, thank the whole HelioHost team. Of course, if Ashoat wouldn't have started it back in 2005, we'd not have what it's today. The whole team deserves a big 'THANK YOU!'</p>HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL TEAM!
Seekier Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 has received some considerable upgrades over the last month@Krydos I noticed "Multibyte string support in php" is disabled on the new Tommy, is that part of the upgrade or an oversight?
Krydos Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 If you need something installed create a new post in customer service requesting it. By default most things are disabled until someone requests it.
chanders Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Hello,In case I miss your email confirming my migration back to 'tommy' (from ricky) -- is there a way to check if I have been migrated? Also, when migrated -- is 'ricky' automatically disabled? Thanks.
Sn1F3rt Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 When you're migrated you won't be able to login at https://ricky.heliohost.org:2083 and you'll be able to login only at https://tommy.heliohost.org:2083. Also when you login at the main website and click "Proceed to cPanel", it'll take you to Tommy's cPanel.
