loretzjr Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Hello, I would like to know if .aspx pages still support in the new Johnny server? Thank you in advance!
wolstech Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Last I heard, ASP.net is only available on Tommy now.
loretzjr Posted June 26, 2018 Author Posted June 26, 2018 What now programming language support at Johnny server? How could I sign up at Tommy Server? Any idea?
wolstech Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Pretty much anything else...PHP, Java, Perl, and Python come to mind. Tommy offers free accounts at midnight UTC each day, but they're basically a lottery considering they fill in about 15 seconds due to demand. Donating will get you a Tommy account without the hassle of trying to get a free one. $1 will get you an invite for Tommy, and $6 will get you an invite to Tommy plus double space (2000MB) on the Tommy account. Note that ASPX has to be requested on Tommy, so please post on the forum asking for it after you create the account if you want that.
loretzjr Posted June 27, 2018 Author Posted June 27, 2018 Thank you wolstech! I would like to know also if Tommy Server is supporting all the major programming language what is with the Johnny Server? By the way, what is the difference between the two Tommy & Johnny server? Thank you in advance!
wolstech Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 Tommy is meant as a fast production server, whereas Johnny is meant for experimentation and other tasks where uptime and speed are not important. As for features, Tommy and Johnny are similar. The differences in features are primarily just the availability of ASPX support and AutoSSL on Tommy at this point. In the past, Johnny offered older ASPX and Ruby on Rails for those who needed it, but these are no longer offered.
loretzjr Posted June 28, 2018 Author Posted June 28, 2018 How could I donate for me to transfer my account on Tommy Server? How much is the minimum donation?
wolstech Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 $1 minimum, you can donate here: https://www.heliohost.org/donate/ Please post your username and transaction ID if you donate so we can move you.

loretzjr Posted July 1, 2018 Author Posted July 1, 2018 When I'm going to be transferred in Tommy Server? Thanks!
wolstech Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I'll process this when I get to a computer. Krydos has to do the Asp.net install though, and we do not support Ruby on Rails anymore.
wolstech Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 The account has been moved to Tommy. Krydos needs to enable the ASP.NET support for you now. @Krydos: Johnny failed to clean up httpd.conf for his account during the move. Not sure if this will be an issue or not. The account did move to Tommy though. Krydos Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 There you go http://loretojr.heliohost.org/test.aspx @wolstech, that error probably just means there was already an httpd.conf rebuild in process so it couldn't edit the file. It would then just pick up the changes the next time httpd.conf is rebuilt.
