HelioHost Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Username: jetleyja, Server: Tommy, Main domain: medsup.heliohost.org I have already uploaded a war file on my heliohost account I want toactivate java on my Tommy account please
wolstech Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 You can do this through cpanel. There should be an option for Java under the software heading. Request it there and wait until it becomes active (usually a day at most on Tommy). After it's active, there will be a form on that page to deploy the war.
HelioHost Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 I have already checked java on my cpanel it is showing the followingmessage since the account has been moved to tommy * Java Tomcat* JavaServer Pages (JSP) is a technology that helps software developerscreate dynamically generated web pages based on HTML, XML, or otherdocument types. Released in 1999 by Sun Microsystems, JSP is similar toPHP, ASP and React's JSX but it uses the Java programming language. Todeploy and run JavaServer Pages, a compatible web server with a servletcontainer, such as Apache Tomcat, is required. *Notice:* Java does not scale well on a shared host because each account onwhich Java is enabled increases the total memory and cpu requirements ofthe Apache Tomcat server. Therefore we only enable Java on the accountsthat will actually use it rather than all new accounts by default. A Servlet is an object that receives a request and generates a responsebased on that request. The basic Servlet package defines Java objects torepresent servlet requests and responses, as well as objects to reflect theservlet's configuration parameters and execution environment. The packagejavax.servlet.http defines HTTP-specific subclasses of the generic servletelements, including session management objects that track multiple requestsand responses between the web server and a client. Servlets may be packagedin a WAR file as a web application. *Notice:* In order to keep load levels low and provide Java support to thelargest number of accounts we will remove Java access from any accountsthat become suspended or inactive. Additionally, if the server is atmaximum and there is a queue of accounts waiting to receive Java support wemay need to remove Tomcat access from accounts that aren't using it. *Request Status* Your account is in the queue to receive java support. It should beinstalled soon.
wolstech Posted January 8, 2018 Posted January 8, 2018 Then you've already requested it and need to wait. That just means you're in line for it. In fairness to others who are also waiting, we don't provide a way to skip the line.
HelioHost Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 But the status is same from the day the account was moved since four daysdoesn't java activates in 24 hours on tommy? On 08-Jan-2018 7:55 pm, "Heliohost Support" wrote: > Then you've already requested it and need to wait.
