Desktop Forum Stuck In Mobile.

Well it might mean im in a desktop viewport? But it still shows me mobile theme.

The fix I tried this morning for Bailey was the fix I used for Luigi. It didn't work. The weird part is it said mobile when I went to change it, so if that was changed earlier, it got changed back to mobile again.

 

The fix I used for Luigi was to just change the skin on the profile in the forum admin to Helionet.

Yeah, I did the same thing several times too.

 

@bailey, what resolution is your screen?

Its 1080p by something, sorry for the late reply.

That might be the issue. I was googling it and someone said that the forum switches over to mobile mode around like 900 pixels.

Oh, I doubt it though because its a big, HD, widescreen. Plus I can get desktop on my iPad mini which is way smaller than my computer.

Well, screen size and resolution are two very different things. My iphone X actually has a resolution of 2436x1125 in 5.8 inches while an older 22 inch monitor I have only has a resolution of 1680x1050.

2) My computer is fairly new but I think I got it stuck in mobile after using Crome inspect :/

Maybe try to clear your cache and see if that works.

Ive cleared it 3 different ways, tried editing the cookies... still no luck.

FIX:

You have to clear local storage manually

Was it the offline content that you flushed? Or did you delete your browser's profile?

I basically cleared all cookies, blocked all cookies, removed local storage and cache manually. Visited the forum in Chrome Inspect with it set to a 4K monitor to ensure no mixup then re-allowed cookies.

 

It was a mixture of old and new data everywhere.

EDIT #2: If we running IPB v3 we can still merge into MyBB mentioned below.

-- #3: The current custom theme doesn't matter, it won't be touch my the importer.

-- #4: The importer can be run outside of the main website, MyBB only needs the database.

@Bailey wants to upgrade the forum for more features, I think. (I believe it's probably more safer security wise to upgrade.)

 

If anyone is going through with this:

 

MyBB is basically the best customizable forum imo, phpBB tools/import all sucks. (Trust me I tried.)

The best way to go about this is my updating the current forum software to the minimum supported version and then merge it into MyBB.

I can try doing this on my local machine if the staff is interested. It should be simple for me if it's inside the minimum supported version of the merge tool.
