HelioHost Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Hi there, I am facing issues with Addon Domains, When i am trying to add domain in cpanel, then an error is displayed everytime i.e., A DNS entry already existed for the subdomain... (If this domain was previously added, it may still exist since cP also creates a subdomain when it sets up an addon domain). If it's not listed there, a root admin needs to remove the DNS entries for you. What domain is having the problem?

Krydos Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 The way addon domains work is first cpanel creates a subdomain, and then parks the new domain on the subdomain. For example, if your main domain is main.heliohost.org and you want to add the addon domain addon.com cpanel would first create addon.main.heliohost.org and then park addon.com on to addon.main.heliohost.org. That's why cpanel talks about subdomains when you're trying to create an addon.
