HelioHost Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 It's that you suck. You should give people warnings before taking downtheir websites, and you also need to let people make backups of theirwebsites so they don't have a month of data loss. wolstech Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I'm sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with our services. I can't find any account based on the email address you included in your email signature, so it's hard to figure out what happened here. Please note though that we do notify you by email if your account expires for inactivity, and we include a link in the email to restore it. We also recently started sending emails before the accounts expire so you can log in to prevent their expiration, though this is currently in testing and as such is available for Tommy accounts only for the time being. This functionality was a popular request and will soon roll out to our other servers as well. We don't delete your data unless you (or someone who knows your password) requests that it be deleted, or unless the account has been abandoned for a significant period of time (over a year typically, its based on server disk space). You are correct that we don't notify you about non-inactivity suspensions (to my knowledge, this behavior is by design). If there is any additional feedback you have, please let us know how we can improve. The features we implement are driven by community suggestions.
Krydos Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Since it sounds like you're having trouble figuring out how to make a backup of your account I'll walk you through it. 1. Go to https://www.heliohost.org/login/ 2. Enter your email address and password to log in. 3. Click Continue to cPanel. 4. Click the Backup button. 5. Click Download a Full Website Backup. 6. Select a location for the backup. The home directory is the easiest option. 7. Click generate backup. 8. Depending on the size of your websites and account it can take a while to complete, but you'll get an email when it's done. 9. Download the backup and keep it somewhere safe. Let us know if you have any other questions and we'll be happy to help.
