Cannot Connect With Filezilla

Hi,

 

I've tried to follow all the posts and instructions I could find but I cannot get Filezilla to connect. I want to edit using my editor via ftp, the Cpanel editor is not my cup of tea.

 

I set the Filezilla timeout to 60 secs.

 

my account is lgpchelp and I think I am on tommy server. If you could link me to the latest current, simple instructions I would be grateful.

Have you tried these settings in Filezilla?

 

host: tommy.heliohost.org

port: 1342

protocol: SFTP

logon type: normal

user: lgpchelp

password: <same as cPanel password>

 

If that doesn't connect are there any error messages?

My mistake. It works, I just used johnny by mistake instead of tommy. Solved and if moderator would just delete it, maybe better. It's in the wiki. My fault -sorry.

I can see right in your screenshot that you have the wrong info entered into filezilla. You have

open "kor12@Tommy SFTP" 1342

If you actually had your info correct like you claim it would say

open "nadeem12@tommy.heliohost.org" 1342

I don't know how else we can help you when you're having such a hard time simply copy/pasting a few values into filezilla.

I'll copy my response from yesterday...

 

The settings shown in your screenshot seem to suggest you have them entered wrong. I use FileZilla with Tommy myself and the settings you posted should work fine. Here's a few screenshots showing how to set up both SFTP and Explicit FTPS for Tommy: http://imgur.com/a/AyEMq (I use the explicit FTPS myself).

 

Use the exact settings in one of those screenshots...just change the username to yours.
