swoter Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Hello! My username at Heliohost is kuksamax. My main domain is kuksa.ru. I want to have kuksa.org as an alias for kuksa.ru My KUKSA.RU zone file @ A 216.218.192.170 mail CNAME domain.mail.yandex.net. www CNAME kuksa.ru. @ NS dns1.yandex.ru. @ NS dns2.yandex.ru. @ MX mx.yandex.ru. 10 My KUKSA.ORG zone file @ A 216.218.192.170 mail CNAME domain.mail.yandex.net. www CNAME kuksa.org. @ NS dns1.yandex.ru. @ NS dns2.yandex.ru. @ MX mx.yandex.ru. 10 Last changes in zone files have been made a week ago. I've tried to add the parked domain kuksa.org and get this error Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: 213.180.204.213,93.158.134.213 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver. I can't abandon Yandex nameservers because of mail service. Is there another way to have the alias kuksa.org for kuksa.ru?
Ice IT Support Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Are you sure you can't abandon Yandex nameservers? I think all you would need to use their email is the MX record and mail CNAME. I know users have successfully added domains without using our nameservers in the past, I never remember how.
Krydos Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I know users have successfully added domains without using our nameservers in the past, I never remember how.The easiest way is to use our nameservers long enough to get the domain parked, and then switch back to your current nameservers.
swoter Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 I've changed nameservers to ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org and successfully parked kuksa.org Then I've restored nameservers to dns1.yandex.ru dns2.yandex.ru I've typed kuksa.org in a browser and get Accound Queued. So I've set parked domain redirection: kuksa.org -> http://kuksa.ru but result is same. Are my changes applied immediately?
wolstech Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Are my changes applied immediately? No. It can take up to 24 hours for a domain to start working. The queued message is shown until your parked domain actually takes effect.
swoter Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 The parked domain is working now! Thanks for help.
