  1. lol I'm curious ... how does one become a mod ?
If the administrators think that a user's posts are mostly very constructive and the user uses correct spelling and grammar (and of course the user must be active alot), then the administrators shall decide it between them and invite the user to the moderating team. ;)
  2. Update related to var/

djbob has just posted that the reason emails are currently not working on Stevie is because that email functions are stored in var, which is full. The administrators are currently discussing methods of fixing the issue on var. So far, var seems to be causing issues related PostgreSQL (making some functions unavailable) and has taken email offline. We are working to fix this as soon as we can, but we fear that fixing it might involve lots of downtime.

  3. Hurricane Electric is a datacenter that offers colocation for a servers located in Fremont, United States. It is also an internet service provider and does many handy things like keeping our servers powered, making sure they're connecting to the internet, and fix any power outage as soon as possible and get the server booted again ASAP.

  4. Sorry about the delay in response: I have only just noticed replies on this topic.

btw, Account Queued should only be shown to renewed/newly registered account isn't?

but why already registered accounts also getting it? i just don't understand what this Queue really mean

Let me explain. On our system we have a file named defaultwebpage.cgi (the Account Queued page) located in cgi-sys, which appears when the server cannot find an active account with that domain. For example, if you have a domain pointing to HelioHost's nameservers, it automatically send the domain name to the server and then the server translates that to the relevant active account. When a user's account is queued (ie. not active), the server automatically displays defaultwebpage.cgi (Account Queued) because it cannot find an account account corresponding to that domain. However, when Stevie/Johnny goes down, all the accounts are temporarily deactivated, meaning that all sites are sent to defaultwebpage.cgi because the system cannot find any active accounts.

Well, this queued page is showing for all site hosted in stevie. this maybe because stevie is down. well I just hope this thing will gone when stevie is back up.
Stevie appears to be back up now.
  5. Your welcome, byron :)

First I checked if the account was there by entering the user's domain name in Account Information > Search Accounts.

Then I used the delete account function in Account Functions > Terminate Account.

Since the termination hanged, I made sure the account was deleted by repeating step one.

Also can we restrat the mail server by going to Mail Server (Exim) in the WHM?
Good idea :) I just tried that (Restart Services > Exim Mail Server) and WHM hanged on 'Restarting Exim Server'. Since I wasn't sure whether it was restarted or not, I ran /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/restartsrv exim via SSH which had no output. Just to make sure I tried running service exim restart and it came up with:

    Stopping exim: [FAILED]
    Stopping spamd: [OK]
    Starting exim: [OK]

Anyways, it didn't seem to fix the problem.

  6. I registered my account on Friday at around 3:00 PM, GMT+7, and now it is Saturday 9:00 PM already. So it means, I would be able to login into my control panel but I would not be.
Sorry about that; the time can vary depending on the length of the queue.

According to the status script you should be able to login to your control panel today at 11:52:00 AM (PST Time), which is in 3 hours (I think!).

Thank you for your patience. :)

Thanks you so much for the quick reply.

    Your welcome! :D

  7. Hello again, akio

It appears that your Johnny account was not in our database, but it was still there in cPanel. This meant that most services like your domain, FTP and cPanel remained active. I have manually logged into WHM and deleted your account from there. The deletion hang on 'Deleting databases', but it appears to have been deleted and the DNS records have been removed from our system.

In other words, you may create an account on Stevie in 24 hours :)

Thank you for being so patient in this matter :)

Johnny account deleted. I can make stevie account now ?
Please wait 24 hours, just incase there are some DNS stuff still there.
  8. The queue goes back to 24th September, and there are over 700 accounts in the queue. This is for Stevie only; Johnny is fine.

Unfortunately we cannot provide an ETA except the status script. You mentioned, however, that the status script keeps showing a higher time every time, meaning that the cron job might have crashed. Can't remember what djbob did last time this happened...

@xaav: Do you think the cron has crashed? If so, I think djbob killed bihourly last time that fixed something, not sure tho

EDIT: @wolstech: I can see the Heliohost homepage fine; it appears to be fixed.
