  1. I have tried to login to Stevie the last couple of days to do backups. But I keep getting login invalid when it is my password. I did see there may have been a DoS attack, has this been sorted? I checked my website but my account has been suspended. I can't reactivate it due to not receiving the link via email. robdog75 Stevie robgregg.co.uk
  2. Yeah! I just kept getting a blank page on phpmyAdmin before. Then saw your suggestion to someone else with the same problem. So I re-entered the same password as a new one earlier. It didn't work to start with. Then I was going to do a new one, but what I did earlier worked. But it was the wpedit database I had edited after the read only mode crash the one I use now had been deleted. I deleted the original one that went into read only mode this morning. But all sorted now. Cheers for letting me know
  3. Update! I managed to get onto myphpAdmin. Only to discover my database for my website had been deleted. Whether I had deleted it earlier maybe the case as I had two databases originally one called robdog75_wp which went into read only mode when Stevie crashed ages ago. After changing the InnoDB parts to MyISAM I created a new one called robdog75_wpedit and imported the backup. Since I kept getting the Error establishing a database connection. I changed the users and password in cpanel and deleted the old database. But as I mentioned I could not get onto MyphpAdmin. Once I did and discovered no database I created an empty one and imported a recent backup. My website is running again. But how do I switch the new database from latin_swedish... to utf8? Or don't I need to worry about it. Thanks.

  5. I have just created a new user and assigned all privlieges to the user and created a new password on MySql in cpanel and added them to the config php file. Except now I keep getting the Error establishing a database connection message or Internal Server error. I have already had to fix this once before already when Stevie crashed ages ago and put the database in read only mode. Fixed it and everything was working fine until it crashed again I'm beginning to get a bit hacked off with this , as I don't know what I'm doing. I can't access MyPhpAdmin as I get a blank page and I can't access my Wordpress dashboard. This has been going on for months now. I need my website working for job applications. I have just tried to repair the DB in MySql and get this. Got the same error checking the DB Error from MySQL query: DBD::mysql::db do failed: Unknown database 'robdog75_wpedit'Failed to use robdog75_wpedit: Unknown database 'robdog75_wpedit'
  6. Hello. I am having a problem reactivating my account. I put my username in and the reactivation process starts. But it just keeps ticking over and not reactivating my account. I left it running for hours yesterday when I got back it was still ticking over. When it used to do it in a matter of seconds before. robdog75 Stevie robgregg.co.uk
  7. Ok! Sounds similar to what happened before minus editing the database got loads of backups. Just a bit hesitant to creating a new database as MyPHPAdmin just came up as a blank page in Chrome and Firefox when I tried it earlier.
  8. Hello. I keep getting the error establishing a database connection each time I attempt to access my Wordpress dashboard and my website. I changed the InnoDB to MyISAM ages ago. How do I fix this please? Rob robdog75
  9. Hello. I have just activated my account after discovering it was suspended. My question is why was it suspended? When I logged in to perfoem a backup on the 5th January. Robdog75 Stevie robgregg.co.uk
  10. The only solution seems to be editing the database and switching the InnoDB tables to MyISAM, then creating a new database and uploading the edited one to it. I did this and my website has worked fine since. I used 7zip to get gz compression as Winrar, Winzip don't seem to do this. As regard removing the old database that was corrupted when Stevie originally crashed. You need to raise a support ticket and one of the admins will remove it for you. I haven't bothered yet getting my old database removed as I have had no problems since adding a new, edited database. The only issue I had was when Stevie went down for 24 hours a month or so ago. I was trying to send a proposal to a freelancing website for a job, and needed to get a link for my website and tested it to make sure it was working. Stevie was ko'd at the time, so had to hold fire on sending my proposal.
  11. Ok! Thanks. I have managed to get my website and dashboard working. I just changed the username on my new database added it, assigned privileges. So all good now. Thanks for the help Wolstech.
  12. I have managed to do that Naja as managed to delete the spam comments via my new database. However I deleted the old database in MySQL Databases after creating the new one. The old one is still listed in phpMyAdmin and won't delete due to #2002 server connection error. I have raised a question about it to get someone to look at it for me.
  13. Hello. I am having a problem loading my website and Wordpress dashboard. On Monday I kept getting a 500 Internal Server Error, Tuesday it was working fine. I have been able to look at my website, but not edit it due to Stevie crashing seven weeks ago and the database going into read only mode. I had been waiting for it to be fixed. In the end I tried Wolstech solution of editing a backup of my database to change the Innodb tables to MyISAM in a text editor. This I have done and I have created a new database in MySQL Databases and imported the data via phpMyAdmin. I then edited my config.php file in File Manager to add the new password for the database and the new database name 'robdog75_wpedit', I kept my username from the old database and added that to the new one in MySQL Databases. I then deleted the old database 'robdog75_wp' in MySQL Databases, so I only have the new one which is listed in cPanel. I then went into phpMyAdmin where I managed to delete the two spam comments from my new database. However the old one is still on there. I tried to drop the old database but got the #2002 server connection error. So if anyone can have a look at it for me please that would be appreciated as I am on the verge of going into Hulk mode here. Thanks Rob robdog75 Unitas2175 Stevie
  14. Fingers crossed!! Should be sorted now. Managed to import my edited database using gz compression as sql file was too big into new database. Just need to delete the old one and edit the config file. Then hopefully my website will be editable. I assume I can delete the old database or does someone have to do it for me? Will do this tomorrow, then can edit my website too.
  15. Thanks Wolstech. Will try and import the edited one now or tomorrow. Will post on here how it goes. Do I create the new database in mysql databases? As can't see where to create it in phpMyAdmin. Actually ignore that last question I just had a play created a database in mysql databases. I will need to do this again, as created a new database and tried to import the edited sql file I have for the data. I then get a message the file size is too big! So deleted the newly created database.
  16. I'm having the same problem as you eeze. Yesterday I couldn't access my Wordpress dashboard or my website kept getting a 500 Internal Server Error. Not sure if this is related to Stevie crashing a few weeks ago as I can't edit my website as Innodb tables went into read only mode. I tried to import a edited database earlier but got a #2002 Connection to server error message. However my dashboard and website are now loading. I do get Internal Server Errors occasionally, but give it a couple of minutes and it works fine.
  17. Good news is my Wordpress dashboard and website have started working. I did try to replace the database with the Innodb tables with an edited one where I made them MyISAM. I attempted three methods restoring the edited one via backup wizard. It said it was restoring the database but nothing was happening. Tried importing the edited database on MyPHPAdmin but got the configuration was wrong message something to that effect, the file is a sql.zip. I then tried dropping the existing database with the intention of importing the edited one. It asked me if I wanted to drop the existing database clicked yes. Got the #2002 server connection error message.
  18. Yeah! Kahoot. That error we are all getting since Stevie crashed a few weeks ago. Innodb tables have gone into read only state for some reason and can't be edited. Hence the connection lost errors etc. The one solution seems to be changing all the Innodb tables to MyISAM but I did try this via MyPHPAdmin kept getting the various connection errors. I have tried editing the database in my Notepad++ and saved it. I haven't attempted to replace the database I have on the server with the edited one yet, as the connection is all over the place. Since today my website and Wordpress dashboard no longer work. I haven't touched them.
  19. I'm having a problem connecting to my Wordpress dashboard and my website. It just keeps ticking over and dropping out and I receive a 500 Internal Server Error. Is the problems with Stevie causing this? Yesterday I went to clear my error log and webmail from cpanel to clear disk space and was greeted with a Licence had expired message on the server. This was resolved and I managed to access Cpanel to do the maintenance required. Website was working. Today I thought I would attempt to edit a backup of my database using a text editor to change the Innodb tables to MyISAM as Wolstech suggested in a earlier post. I checked my website and Wordpress dashboard first got an Internal Server Error on both. Which I do get occasionally, but everything is fine a few minutes later. I have edited the database and saved it to my computer to replace my existing database, with the hope it will fix the problem of being able to edit my Website and Wordpress as I can't do this at present. I again checked my Wordpress dashboard and website, got an Internal Server Error. So I'm not even going to attempt to replace the database until both are connecting. I edited my database two hours ago. My main concern is if this problem is ongoing and it is not going to be fixed anytime soon. Is it worth me deleting my account and going elsewhere as I need my website working properly, as I am starting a self-employment course next week. At the moment I am just setting things up including getting my website working. Any suggestions? Thanks Rob
  20. Hello. I have just tried to access Cpanel in order to clear my error log and webmail in order to keep my disk space in check. However when I logged in I was greeted with this message. This server is currently not licensed. Please contact the server administrator. Other services available on this server such as web services are likely functioning normally. (License has a future date) Once the license on this server is active, you will no longer see this message. If you have installed a license since loading this page, click here to reload. I just checked my website which works to look at normally. But I can't edit it due to issues with Stevie. Checked my website just got an Internal Server Error. Is this related to issues with Stevie? Thanks Rob
  21. Did this solve the problem and how stable is the connection to import the database? I am tempted to give this a go but a bit weary of the connection. As I had problems the other day clearing webmail as it kept crashing to create space on my disk storage. As any changes I attempt to make with my website don't work as they won't save. My website works but can only look at it, can't edit it.
  22. Yes! Vocal. My website was doing the same for a bit. But seems to work fine, just can't edit it. Due to server crash. Hopefully it will be sorted soon.
