  1. @Ice IT Support I do not know what Site of mine you tested, but winfoes.co.uk was persistently slow at various times of the day. Ice IT Support from thread:http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/13000-cannot-connect-to-server This would explain it as if an issue with HelioHost's DNS, the DNS will struggle to resolve in different areas around the world. I am in the UK. The Stock Answer: is irrelevant if there were issues with HelioHost DNS. Stock Answer slightly irritating as: http://thenetweb.co.uk/clear-your-cache-for-webmasters Besides HelioHost's DNS is resolving and website is fine now. The Server was great all last month, (so the problems here are minimal). So well done all at HelioHost
  2. I know the Server was down for about 2 hours this morning but what I did not realize until I checked my Stats is that the Site I have on Stevie is taking an absolute age to load as born out by the Stats as the Hits are down by half. Obviously visitors cannot be bothered to wait. Does anyone know when this well be sorted as it is about twelve hours at the moment that page load speed has been exceptionally poor. Taken about half an hour to try and post this on this board as the board just will not load properly.
  3. http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ There was Server Downtime on Stevie. My Sites are taking an Age to load at the moment, but are up. Hopefully this is hust a Blip!!
  4. Someone can MarK this 'Solved' Buggered if I can see how to do it! WebMail now working. Doubt if it is anything I said. All services are running normal now for me.
  5. I am getting random connection with e-mail Client. No Access to Webmail through cPanel. (Unless you know different?)
  6. The Sites are now On Line, (at the moment). By the Stats, around 14.00 GMT The Mail Server is not Connecting with my e-mail Client. This is purely to keep HH informed. Logged into cPanel, tried WebMail and it is down.
  7. 2) In your post, include the following information: a. your HelioHost username = stgeorge b. the server your account is on = stevie c. your HelioHost main domain = stgeorge.heliohost.org/ Seems to have been since 10.00 am GMT according to my Stats. This really is a lousy board. Find myself having to Post Two or Three times every time I am here due to errors.
  8. @Tjoene OK Thanks At least I know only to log in when I expect the sites to get low traffic. Bit of a pain though.
  9. I was wondering if others are having the same problem or even if they have noticed than whenever logged into cPanel the website or sites go down with '500 server Error'. I have one SignUp subdomain, (which I use rarely for testing), and two live AddOn Domain tld's. Whenever I download database backups or even access file manager in cPanel and then try to access any of the Sites I get a 500 Error and this does not go away until I have logged out of cPanel. Can anyone else replicate this? It has been happening for some months now.
  10. @byron If that was a question to me then it is a php install, Joomla 1.5 index.php I have Custom Error Pages htaccess enabled
  11. @soerganda I am on Stevie and have been working on a site today. I keep getting 500 errors but it does not last long. A few seconds later and page refresh sorts it. Looking at the monitor it seems that volume is high. The service is a little intermittent today. So your site should be up by now.
  12. Just to keep a Topic alive! Keep it KOOL
  13. I do gets a few breaks in connection to the mail server. I use PopPeeper running in the background so I get to know if a site goes down. Heliolost does break connection, but has recently been very brief and less often. After checking the site it is normally up. This could simply be a maintenance issue.
  14. I have just got access to your cPanel login. http://innov8.heliohost.org:2082/ Use this link if you have a localized server problem. http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ It lets you know if the routing is a more localized issue. Of course it the file contains a bad script you could have been locked out.
  15. Have you done a whoIs: http://www.whois-sea...is/fiocraft.net It does not appear that the domain is pointing to Heliohost yet. It is irrelevant that HelioHost have a record of your domain: http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/dns-checker/ You must change the settings with your Registrar. Change the DNS and point it to: ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org
  16. Apart from this over javascripted, Ajax Forum, (there you go I start with a moan), I am pleasantly surprised. Since joining HelioHost back in 22 Sep 2009 I have tried to put a website in the Stevie Server, only to take it off again within a week. However for the past month I have had a site on Stevie with very few problems, so whilst I am the first to jump in and complain I thought it right to actually complement HelioHost on the service this past month. Not only has the page load improved drastically, but the uptime has been good also. So well done! and without trying to sound too patronizing, I hope this level of service can be maintained. I just hope that I have not put the Kibosh on the service Posted in Customer Service as; where else should it be posted? lol tried to post and got a server error, then frequently get re-directed to the RSS feed. Get rid of this board please, it really is lousy scripting.
  17. I have no browser cache when I use Opera. That is why I use it as it can easily be set for No Cache, no Image Caching and No Persistent Storage. It is a web developers dream as you see pages in real time. There can be Ajax and JavaScript problems with Opera, but this is down to poor or excessive scripting, which after all is my point. Web Developers should cross Browser reference. This board is not Cross Browser compatible although I do accept that visitor volume may play a part. However I am using Chrome while on this board at the moment and has a problem as it would not quick reply, (had to copy and paste in Reply to Topic). I have also experienced problems on this board with FireFox and Safari, In both Windows and Linux. I must admit though to being irritated beyond belief by over-scripting and poor templating. But then I am very easily irritated, (so my ex-wife says)!
  18. I went to reply to a PM yesterday but the Ajax would not load my messages. I have only just got back in to reply to the PM. I really wish script kiddies world realize that Ajax is not suitable for Forums. It is not and can never be cross browser compatible. It is designed for small individual module style tasks and not as an answer to everything.
  19. I keep getting this error when trying to view posts: I do not know about others, but this forum is really lousy templating for Opera. The script makes posting a nightmare as it jumps all over the place when you try to click within the editor.
  20. Perhaps I should have posted here in this thread, but I posted here: http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/12093-addon-domains-not-showing-in-cpanel/ Admin may wish to merge the two. I did not create A and CNAME records however, they are simply AddOn domains with the registrar pointing to: ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org
  21. SignUp Domain: http://stgeorge.heliohost.org/ Server: Stevie I did a backup of a TLD that I moved to a new server prior to deleting the files in my HelioHost account due to disk space usage being high and although the backup was created which took the Account size to 507mb prior to deleting the files, once files were deleted this took it down to 340mb. The problem I have is that I has 3 AddOn Domains but noticed that these are not shown: However of the three AddOn domains, two are now pointing to the heliohost server, the two: http://translationstreet.co.uk/ http://winfoes.co.uk/ Initially I got a 500 server error when visiting these two sites but after logging out then in again, the Disk Space Usage eventually went to the correct amount and both sites started working OK even though there is the above message in AddOn Domains. Why are these not showing as configured. Does exceeding disk space usage wipe AddOn Domains. I re-named the Directory of one of the sites then went to AddOn to Add it but it said that this was owned by another User. The directory was created however, so I moved the files into the new directory. So both the above TLD's work, but they do not appear in the AddOn Domains!
  22. Server monitor on HelioHost means nothing normally. I have always found it a complete waste of time, why? Because it is only applicable to the place where the server is situated. It makes no difference globally if the server keeps breaking connection, as other global locations may still not resolve. Besides, logging into an account successfully and getting white screened means the server is up. White screening is normally due to either missing files or php errors. So this has nothing to do with server up or down. I am still getting White Screened, so put site on another Server, (again).
  23. Well even clearing cache, the computer resolver and rebooting there is no difference. There is so much Ajax crap on this Server it is not surprising the Servers run slow. This board takes an eternity to load a reply page.
  24. I am getting White Screened after I log into cPanel. Is anyone else having this problem It is on the Stevie Server. Using: http://MyAccount.heliohost.org/cpanel and http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/ and https://stevie.heliohost.org:2083/
  25. Its fine thanks. I have removed the component that caused the problem
