Well, I have a Johnny account, and managed to get filezilla to upload my website directory: honeywebph But I cannot ping "honeywebph.tk" or load "http://honeywebph.tk" to firefox. I have honeywebph.tk from freenom.com (used to be dot.tk). Thought I did not have to change domain stuff? Please help

Ah, well, I waited until after 8am, when I tried to get into Johnny I was told it was full, and to wait 21 hours and 5 minutes to try again. I used my email: jwells2054@yahoo.com I assume I cannot get into Johnny no matter how long I wait. And Stevie and Tommy are closed. I am unsure now if I must get my username (feeldumb) or my email reset, before I try donating 98 cents and see if i can get in Tommy. I assume there is no point in waiting for Stevie to be fixed.

OK, say I donate $0.98 - how much do you get then? If I donated a dollar, how much more would you get? (I will need to use paypal to do this). Then I get an email saying I am invited to Tommy? And I follow some link in the email to create an account on Tommy? Or will my feeldumb account be there? And, hurray, I did as full a backup download from heliohost using filezilla on June 2 of this year!! I assume all my email, however, will need to be set up again. I had a lot of email accounts there. I will attempt to just put back the files for my 4 websites, and try and get them working again. Do you know what directories and files I would have to restore to get at least some of my email accounts working again? Is that even possible, would the passwords all be screwed up? I do not see anything that I can identify that has anything to do with bluegemz.heliohost.org. Would that have gone to public_html? (I think that was linked to the www directory?)

Well, I clicked the link you gave me. Says it resets in 18 hours 41 minutes, which will be 8 am here. Would 98 cents be enough of a donation for Tommy? Sorry, I am really poor. When I am on (eventually) Johnny or Tommy, do I have to change my DNS settings (my .tk sites are through freenom, which used to be dot.tk)? Will my sites be the same functionally on either of these servers? I am going to have enough trouble just finding my backups and restoring them. Will softalicous update my wordpress sites properly? Will I still be feeldumb? Will my password need to be changed? Sorry for all the stupid questions.

I am very poor, that is why I am here on heliohost. Is there another way, perhaps a different server than Tommy? What is my main domain?

Hello, my user name in heliohost is feeldumb. It seems that my accounts were all on Stevie, so I cannot log in now. I guess I should try and move my stuff to Tommy, but I have, basically, no idea how to accomplish this. It seems I had 4 domains (websites) set up on Stevie, none of which can be accessed now. They are (were): teaseleather.tk cbeacctg.tk entiaacctg.tk honeywebph.tk I have no idea if this is the correct way to request an account on Tommy. I hope so. Oh, yes, I did manage to get my user backup file feeldumb.tar.gz. However, it seemed to have nothing inside. It was only 45 bytes long, and when I opened it, it said it had feeldumb.tar (10,240 bytes), but I cannot see anything in there. I believe (hope) I have backups of the websites and will be able to recreate them. I see some references to having to change my user name or password in order to use Tommy. Can i avoid this? Do you think I should avoid this? I look forward to your help

My user name is feeldumb. I cannot log in, I assume my domains were in Stevie. But I do not see my name in the backup list. My email is jwells2054@yahoo.com, but I am uncertain that this was the email I used when I first opened my account on Heliohost. I do not see feeldumb as a user on the master list here. I seem to be having trouble finding out how to get at my backup, if there is one. Also, I am unsure if I should move to Tommy or just wait for Stevie to return, since I have no idea how long it will be before Stevie does return, if ever. At least I believe I already have backups of my data (maybe, if I am lucky). Still, I feel dumb. I cannot determine what url to use to see if I have a backup there, nor can I figure out how to get an account on Tommy. Sorry, please help. Also, I wonder if my account will be autoremoved, since I am uncertain when the last time I successfully logged in was (perhaps 11/24/2016, but unsure). I hope I am not deleted because I did not log in in 30 days. I tried to log in on 12/19/2016, that is when I learned there was a problem.

Well, again, I used MySQL Databases, and deleted and replaced the database users for both of my databases, which made both cbeacctg.tk and teaseleather.tk start working again. Thank you. Hope this lasts a little longer this time. However, when ever I try and use phpMyAdmin I end up at this URL: http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/cpsess2070220352/frontend/x3/sql/PhpMyAdmin.html Which sometimes shows: #1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server I use my heliohost username and password (since I do not know any better) to log in, and it then shows URL: http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/cpsess2070220352/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php Where noting is displayed, and the source also shows nothing. Well, my website (http://cbeacctg.tk) is gone again. When I try to use PhpMyAdmin, it asks for a username and password, and I enter my heliohost username and password, and it goes to URL: http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082/cpsess2070220352/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/index.php Which has no source and displays nothing. So I try mySQL Databases, which is where I deleted and recreated the database user for my wordpress website, which worked long enough for me to upgrade to the new version (although softaculous would not do the upgrade correctly). Anyway, when I tried to check the database, I got this: feeldumb_wpcatk is now being checked. Error from MySQL query: DBD::mysql::db do failed: Unknown database 'feeldumb_wpcatk'Failed to use feeldumb_wpcatk: Unknown database 'feeldumb_wpcatk' Check Complete I really wold like my website to last more than a week without these weird problems. Well, that was fun. Softalicious never properly installed the wordpress update 4.3.1. With your help, I did get my website working. After several tries at updating wordpress using softalicious, and always having to restore it to the previous version, I finally did the wordpress update to 4.3.1 from inside the wordpress administration at my website (http://cbeacctg.tk). However, now softalicious seems to think my site is still wordpress 4.2.4. I really would not care much, since wordpress says it is 4.3.1, and seems to be working. However, since I am careful, I did a backup (which softalicious allows and recomends) before I did the wordpress update - not through softalicious, since that was not working. That backup contains my wordpress website and my wordpress database, and nothing else. After I did the update, I went back to softalicious and redid the bckup, so, in theory, I have a backup from after the update - but softalicious says it is a version 4.2.4 wordpress backup. Just a little confusing, for me. I suppose I can just wait for the next wordpress update, and, if softalicious updates correctly my web site, that will fix it. I am a little surprised that softalicious does not actually check my web site to get the wordpress version currently there. Oh well. Just thought I would leave a note for you, maybe you can see what is happening with softalicious. Maybe it will affect others besides just me. Thanks again for your help! Have a nice day!

Well, I removed and recreated the user, again. Then I backed up both the website and the database, which softalicious claims is wordpress version 4.3.1, which was what got me into this in the first place. However, after, supposedly, successfullly backing up the website, I again tried to finish the wordpress update by going to: http://cbeacctg.tk/wp-admin/network/upgrade.php?action=upgrade and got this: Can’t select database We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the feeldumb_wpcatk database. Are you sure it exists? Does the user feeldumb_wpcatk have permission to use the feeldumb_wpcatk database? On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_feeldumb_wpcatk. Could that be the problem? If you don't know how to set up a database you should contact your host. If all else fails you may find help at the WordPress Support Forums. ok, so I delete the user again, I got this: Deleted the user feeldumb_wpcatk Timeout: Alarm. And that user is gone, so I recreate the user, told success. And I get a manage user privileges screen, where hit make changes, without adding any privileges, since I do not know which ones. Then I hit 'go back' And again try both: http://cbeacctg.tk/wp-admin/network/upgrade.php?action=upgrade and http://cbeacctg.tk/ No luck, same messages as before. Any further suggestions?

OK, I used cpanel to use the file manager and looked at my cpeacctg/www/wp-config.php (which was last modified in 2013). It says the database is 'feeldumb_wpcatk' and give a password for this. Then I tried to change the database password to match the password in my wp-config.php file. That is when I got this notice: Although the system’s database map includes a MySQL user named “feeldumb_wpcatk”, the MySQL server reported that no user with this name exists. Contact your system administrator. Are you, by chance, the system administrator I am supposed to contact? If not, could you tell me how to contact the system administrator?

I have the same problem with "http://cbeacctg.tk". I got a notice to update wordpress to 4.3.1. I could not back up my site or the database before I did the update. My web page will not open. Softalicious says it updated my database while doing the wordperss update to 4.3.1. This could mean your host's database server is down. Are you sure you have the correct username and password? Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname? Are you sure that the database server is running? I have not changed the username or password. I am sure I typed the correct hostname. I a NOT sure the database server is running. Is there a problem? Where, exactly, is my wordpress database? I am sure I cannot access my site at all. Well, since wordpress defines everything at the site as items in the database, if there is a problem with the database, the site will not show anything. I do have older backups of my software and database from previous wordpress version updates. But if the database server is not running, I don't think putting and older version back will help. Ah, OK, thank you again! I had thought I tried doing 'Addon Domain' with a new name, and got an error that the subdomain did not exist. I removed the subdomain, so that I had NO subdomains, retried addon domain, and it WORKED! And now, when i try to go to 'honeywebph.tk' I get the heliohost account queued message, so the free domain name I got there is also set up properly. Again, thank you all for your excellent help. Oops, where did it go? try again Good morning! I wonder if I should start a new topic - well, see if I get a response here first. I went to dot.tk and created a free domain (as you suggexted). honeywebph.tk I selected use dns, use own dns and entered ns1.heliohost.org ns2.heliohost.org I think it worked. As I see it, now the problem is how to tell stevie that that honeywebph.tk is connected to me somehow. I already have a subdomian.on stevie honeywebph.bluegemz.heliohost.org which I have set the document root to /home/feeldumb/honeywebph Now I try and make an addon domain. It says: An addon domain allows visitors to reach a subdomain of your site by typing the addon domain's URL into a browser. Perhaps I am (again, still?) confused. I thought I could enter honeywebph.tk as an addon domain, and point it to my existing subdomain, so stevie (and I) would know where to put my index.html and other files needed. When I try and use addon domain to add honeywebph.tk, if I tell it to use my existing subdomain, it says it is owned by another user Error from domain wrapper: honeywebph.bluegemz.heliohost.org is owned by another user. If I try and enter something else, it says the subdomain does not exist. Sorry to bother you so much, I am really new at this (does that show?) Thanks again . Hello again, And sorry. I went to dot.tk, as you suggested. I entered bluegemz and it changed the page, said I was registering bluegemz.tk (good, probably means that name is not gone yet). But then it asks me to choose from: Use your new domain Forward this domain to Use DNS Build a new website with Imcreator.com I don't think I want to buld a new website with increator.com, so should I forward my domain to http:// (where, I thought you would be hosting my site) or use dns? Or if I select Use DNS, it allows me to select Dot.TK's dns service or my own DNS (you?). If I select dot.tk's dns, it want's the ip addresses for www.bluegemz.tk and bluegemz.tk. It says those are my A records. Am I supposed to enter your ip address? (sorry, I do not know it yet) If I only enter for one of the two, is that how I select bluegemz.tk AND NOT GET www.bluegemz.tk? If I select use your own DNS service, it wants me to enter one (or two? do I need both?) server names, with matching ip addresses. Is that where I would put ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org? what do I put for IP addresses? Again, sorry I am so stupid. And again, thank you for your help! I see dot.tk will give me a free domain name. When I have it, can I host it on heliohost? Do I set up the A MX and CNAME here on Heliohost, or there, on dot.tk? You can opt to use the Dot TK DNS Service, where within My Dot TK you can setup your A, MX and CNAME records. You can use an external DNS. Please consult your Internet or Hosting Provider for these options. Do you have any advice for me about what I should enter for those fields, and if I enter the information here, or at dot.tk? By the way, thank you for your quick and effective answers. You people and your service have been of great help and very educational.
