  1. Surprised I didn't hear about this sooner, look forward to the future eh: http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/134682-hackers-backdoor-the-human-brain-successfully-extract-sensitive-data
  2. Yeah, we have a max time, but it's probably good to limit it within your own source to avoid hour+ wait times while the rogue php processes are killed. EDIT: Seems your site is working now by the way.
  3. Your account was suspended for inactivity because it was over 30 days since your last login. You should be able to reset your password now, please remember to login to http://heliohost.org once a month, if you forget you can use the renew script to reactivate your account.
  4. Parked domains, addon domains, and subdomains all show the queued page for at least 24 hours, up to 48 hours. " Krydos, type slower .
  5. Most content management systems do that by default, but they also give you the option to modify those options from the admin dashboard.
  6. Both are working fine for me, maybe you're setting off Cloudflare's DoS protection. Also, on your blog, the links are dead.
  7. Your site seems to be working now.
  8. If it's because of some persistent processses an admin may have to kill them, or they'll eventually be killed after some amount of time.
  9. That error is usually generated when you have reached your maximum process limit. Common causes include running webmail, cPanel, phpMyAdmin or FTP open while viewing your site, as well as scripts being poorly written and staying loaded in memory.
  10. Upgrading to the newest version is not practical as all sorts of stuff may break. Johnny is the experimental server so it usually gets abused and software updates are tested there before being thrown on Stevie. At this moment Johnny is running 11.32.5 while Stevie is on 11.30.5; I don't mind being just a tiny bit behind the times if it means everything works the way it's intended going from one version to the next.
  11. Since you failed to take care of the problem during your allotted 24 hours an admin will go through and delete the offending files before unsuspending your account. Please be patient while this is taken care of.
  12. To delete your account simply use the delete script.
  13. Parked and Addon domains are queued up too, sorry.
  14. Make sure to check your spam/junk folders, sometimes services like Windows Live and Yahoo! will mark some emails from the same domain as spam but allow others without any real rhyme or reason.
  15. I'm not sure where this is needed, but unless it negatively impacts the server it really doesn't matter. Here's a few points to keep in mind: let the program sleep a little in between loop iterations when there's a large amount of looping involved. even though C# has built-in GC, invoke it and release resources heavily. give the program a way to kill and restart itself at regular intervals This will help prevent any disruption of services and avoid having your account suspended.
  16. Glad your question got answered! Please spare a few minutes to take our brief survey: http://feedback.heliohost.org/ Your participation in this survey is greatly appreciated. ___________________________________________ Just to add my two-cents, I can't imagine a paid host offering you much more. In terms of uptime, Stevie is pretty strong, and in terms of services Johnny offers a broad range. A paid host would probably have more servers which would mean more space and stability, but if you're just trying out site-building and don't have much in terms of budgeting getting locked into 12+mo hosting plans is probably more than you're looking for or out of your immediate budget range. The popular unlimited disk space marketing gimmick is bogus, there's usually a limit, they just assume you'll never notice. The exception is a host that offers dedicated servers, which is extremely expensive. We're upfront about everything, from server limitations to why we disable some functions to why your account gets banned (if it does). And if you have a problem or question you can usually get a quick response as long as somebody has a general idea what you're talking about.
  17. Just found this tidbit of awesomeness, enjoy. http://sci-ence.org/vapid-arguments/
  18. If the cu.cc is linked as an add-on or parked domain remove it through cPanel, then you can use the domain change to set it as your main domain. First fix the malware though, you've about 9 1/2 hrs on that.
  19. Yeah, some ads on your site are from clicksor, let us know if you keep getting user reports about redirects or if the problem gets fixed.
  20. Let us know when you upload it and where. Deploying .wars requires admin tinkering.
  21. I'm gonna go ahead and say it's an ad service serving a couple of malicious ads, this would explain why it's hit or miss. You should contact them and ask them to check.

  23. That error basically means that somewhere in the directory structure you've set an htaccess directive that denies requests to view those folders. Or your directory's permissions aren't properly set.
  24. Uhhh... Maybe try setting an A record for mail.fieldstationkids.org to point to your shared IP and delete the CNAME record.
  25. The procedure is to make a post here similar to the other posts made there. You can't, only admins can check processes and resources. There are several reasons why an account may be suspended, so you'll have to wait and see what caused it for you.
