  1. bummer, looks like ill have to wait till i get to my duty station then. i wont have time to get it up and running right now thx djbob
  2. nope and i cant for the life of me remember, i tryed logging in with the possible names and nothing. im probly s.o.l huh?
  3. its easy just go slow... 25c for the soda 2c for the tip 3c given back (1c to each) so if you think about it 25c + 2c = 27c (soda + tip) 1c + 1c + 1c = 3c (each person gets 1c back) 27c + 3c = 30c note: each person didnt put in for the tip see wizards spoiler 9 + 8 + 8 = 25 (what each put in) 25 + 2 = 27 (add the tip in) now the 3 * 9 = 27 will make sense and since the bartender gave them each 1c back... theres your missing 3c
  4. wow ok... over think is whats going on here... the problem is the way this is worded. it tripped me up for a second too. the way it should look is like this... all money accounted for and everyone is happy
  5. heres the deal, couldnt find a job in my field and ran out of money... so i went and joined the army went through 26 weeks of training, basic and ait for 68w (medic). my site got wiped and my laptop which had all my work, site as well as school (game develpment), the hdd died. heres my two questions: 1) do i have to reregister for the site? and 2) any way my site content/code is still floating around on the server? i figure the chances are pretty near nill but it never hurts to ask. thx a million...
  6. What do you mean by another free cpanel? cpanel is a control panel. Do you mean another account?
  7. I never said he was smart/dumb, what I was trying to get across was the fact that if he's 15, he doesnt attend H.S. cause Ive seen him on at times when school would be in session. So either he graduated H.S. REALLY freakin early or he's home schooled... if in fact he is 15... which I doubt. Just my opinion. Not trying to be insulting.
  8. Highly doubtful, Ive seen him on at times when, unless he's a geniues and really early graduat, or home schooled, he would have been in school.
  9. I actually already looked into the index manager, not what I need unfortunatly
  10. Well basicly default.aspx should take the place of index.htm/.html ... and in fact it was working untill the kernel rebuild. Maybe a setting changed? In a comercial project (host used a different control panel) I was able to set what the server could see/use in place of index.html, is there such an option in cpanel? I went exploring through it, but couldnt find one.
  11. I've noticed with my site, and one or two others, that it doesnt seem to be grabing the default.aspx and just displays the directory/file list -------------------- sungazerstudios.heliohost.org appears for me as: Index of / Default.aspx Default.aspx.cs Web.config cgi-bin/ codesamples.aspx codesamples.aspx.cs contact.aspx contact.aspx.cs favicon.ico files/ header.html images/ projectarchive.aspx projectarchive.aspx.cs sidebar.html source/ styles/ sungazerstudios.sln tutorials.aspx tutorials.aspx.cs tutorials/ Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8b mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at sungazerstudios.heliohost.org Port 80 -------------------- http://npsf3000.co.cc/ does this as well any ideas?

    MEGA Downtime

Not quite back to normal, but things do seem to be getting better after that long dry spell.
  17. Has anyone gotten this yet? And actually gotten it to work??? Ive always liked the NFS series, besides PS, and carbon wasnt the greatest but it did have a few good points. But Ive never held much regard for EA. With this latest release I dont know if Ill even stick with the NFS series anymore. EA is by far the worst game developer ever!!! I mean seriously if you cant release a functional game, dont F***in release it! Sorry, I just had to vent  So... anyone get it working? If so hows the game play. EDIT: Ok, so it works on my lower-end laptop with out of date gfx drivers and not my higher-end PC with current gfx drivers... weird. Heres what I found, laaaaag. Even at lowest graphic settings and using some 'fixes' found in the official forums it lags at some points in game and the menus are heavily affected to the point were its almost non-navigable. I cant speak for higher-end comps but the gfx even when turn to full seemed like they took a few giant leaps backward from the previous games. The raceing mechanics/physics seemed really decent, but I didnt toy with it too much, an hour was all I could stand. My recomendation, if you want to play a good street racing game, stick with Most Wanted. IMHO, Undercover is like trying to cut a cake with a brick, it just doesnt work. EDIT2: Oh ya and 3 other things that really erk'd me. One there is no way to change the gfx settings (aside from regedit) before you enter the game for the first time, this means a forced watching of the intro movie at a horrible 640x480 res (at least it did for me). Two I couldnt seem to find a way do disable autosave or save manually. And three there is no uninstall in the start menu, you have to use the control panels Add/Remove Programs! And I think thats about it.

    MEGA Downtime

lol. I feel like I should be hearing a UT or Quake sound with these posts... M-M-M-Mega Kill! Heheh thanks for the hard work an the update djbob!
  19. Hmmm, I am registered for both with a yahoo account. It may just be one of the bugs that djbob has been working hard to fix. I wouldnt worry to much over it, he is usually able to fix these minor little bugs really fast. Just wait for him to login.
  20. He's fixing them as they occur, I have noticed a steady increase in stability. I think he has fixed all the major problems.
  21. Easy, while its true that stevie (the new server) has had a case of the hickups recently, the site was, and no doubt again will be, stable and really reliable. djbob has been putting in an inordinate amount of time and effort into getting stevie well again. You havent been here for all that long so try not to judge based on the recent events, hang around for a while and get to know the community, they are a really good group of people. All praise be to djbob lol (and any others who might be putting in time as well).
  22. I havent used more than 3 or 4 different free hosts but I have to say that they all pale in comparison next to heliohost even with the recent server issues. And I think raccess is right, the community on these forums is amazing and the most helpfull anywhere.
  23. Well Im pretty sure that this is a repeat thread... Probly the dark knight. Though I just saw walle and Id have to say that was a really good one too.
