  1. We could probably hammer out something correct during the summer. By "correct" I mean small and (probably) ugly, but scalable/easily upgraded. But then again, why would we want to do this?
  2. We know our answer is correct, which means that your error probably doesn't have anything to do with the host name. Why don't you post the exact error you're getting instead of trying to claim that we're wrong? EDIT: Did you create a MySQL database in cPanel?
  3. Your all caps title makes me not want to help you. Please use proper capitalization next time. I can check the status of your account. What's your username?
  4. We've told you this four times now. Use "localhost".
  5. From the PM he inadvertently(?) sent me, he already has an account in queue. Just wait for it to become active.
  6. Done.
  7. From your post, you seem to be inexperienced with configuring MySQL databases for CMS like Joomla. Our responsibility is not to hold your hand, but to help you fix something when it goes wrong. I recommend consulting the Joomla documentation/support forum to get a better understanding of how to install/use Joomla. If you haven't already, please consult this link--there is an entire section dedicated to configuring the database: http://help.joomla.org/content/category/15/99/132/

  9. Be patient and wait for djbob.
  10. So how can I get it back? You don't. Read the Support FAQ.

  13. Have you considered adding the new domain as a Parked Domain via cPanel? The effect is the same. This way, you keep your old domain as well in case your other domain ever expires.
  14. Chinese users seem to have their websites blocked by the government.
  15. No, it is not possible. Sorry.
  16. You did something wrong. Ask phpBB support. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewforum.p...ubmenu&f=46
  17. lulz If I have time/inclination, I'll see if I can setup a demo. But I'm already doing the theme and the script, so I don't think that'll be soon.
  18. I looked at http://wiki.osqa.net/display/docs/OSQA+Ins...+Upgrade+Guides and http://www.heliohost.org/home/features/languages/python and Stevie doesn't have the requirements, Django 1.1, for starters.

  20. I suppose I could host it...
  21. No. Have you read the Support FAQ?

  23. Thank you again for your timely reply Wizard! By now you're very aware that I'm really a babe in the woods with website vernacular and process. So... would it be EASY for you to explain the sylink option (hopefullly step by step)? If not, I'll take your first suggestion. Further... how do I "move" the contents of the "richardgvr" folder to the "greenvalleyrecording.com" folder? TIA Richard You can use a FTP client or the file manager in cPanel in order to move files from one directory (folder) to another. I can't tell you exactly how to do it, as I've never had to do it before and I don't have time to work out everything right now. I did a quick search and here are some posts you should look at if you feel like trying this for yourself: http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?sh...ic=6420&hl= Some PHP knowledge is required.
  24. You should remove the redirection, the nameservers are all you need. You also need to add "greenvalleyrecording.com" as an Add-on domain on cPanel. This will create a folder called "greenvalleyrecording.com" and you should move everything from the folder "richardgvr" to that folder in order to see it when you go to www.greenvalleyrecording.com. However, with this, you will no longer see your website at http://greenvalleyrecording.heliohost.org/richardgvr/. A more advanced method is creating a syslink from richardgvr to the folder greenvalleyrecording.com. With that, you could keep http://greenvalleyrecording.heliohost.org/richardgvr/.
