Good day mods, I would like to request on setting the reverse DNS (PTR) of my server's IP address to mail.bochard.net. Thank youu!!

A few days ago, I bought my very first own VPS here on Heliohost. I managed to setup an Apache web server to serve my personal web site. Since yesterday, I started to setup my own email server as well. I just got a problem, I can't seem to find a good resource on how to setup a Postfix and Dovecot to use a virtual mailbox. I have these few emails: mail@bochard.net, git@bochard.net, (I forgot the other ones). But, instead of creating a user for each of them, I would like to settle to one user only (excluding the root). What I thought is to use a virtual mailbox so they would go all into the same directory, like for instance, /var/mail/vmail/bochard.net/mail (for mail@bochard.net), /var/mail/vmail/bochard.net/git (for git@bochard.net). And importantly, each email can be logged in using an email client. Really hoping someone could help. Thank youu!! ------- PS. I just realised that this should be posted of Questions forum instead. Good day! I just bought a VPS plan. But, after purchase, I saw in the dashboard that the email I used was from the email in my PayPal account which is an old email alias which I just removed. After I removed that email alias on PayPal, in the Heliohost dashboard, it doesn't reflect the new email. Username: bochard07

I am using Tommy account on Heliohost. Just yesterday, I got an email that my account has been deactivated due to inactivity, so I reactivated it the same day. However, the next day (today), I checked my main email: mail@bochard.net but I found that it wasn't connected. I tried to reconnect but it won't do, I am very sure that the password is right, though. I test to login using my other email account under bochard.net but it worked. It's weird that on mail@bochard.net it won't connect, and the email says connection refused. Would it be possible that there is some bug arised at the time I reactivated my account?

I am updating a client's website (1932washhouse.com). After I pushed the recent commit to github, it automatically passed the file updates to heliohost using a webhook. I have a composer.json file sitting in the httpdocs/ but I don't know how to do composer install to update the dependencies and install the new one I added? I navigated to the PHP Composer option in the dashboard but it shows me this error notification: I tried clicking the change folder but it didn't show the option inside httpdocs/, I also tried manually typing the content of composer.json file from httpdocs/ into that composer.json but it won't do.

Thank you for the clarifications @MoneyBroz. I would like to add up some few questions. 1. It is mentioned that we can install anything on a vps server, does booting the vps for a different OSes like BSD would be allowed and possible? 2. There are two options to purchase: the monthly option, and the per 6 month option with 10% discount. If I chose the monthly option for one-time just to have a trial, can I still choose next the per 6 month option, but still get the discount?

Good day, I am considering to purchase a vps plan but I still have some queries in mind that I would like to ask. I'll just list them down below. Would purchasing a vps will separate from the current Tommy plan? and can I go back to Tommy, if ever? Why there no option for Debian 13 (doesn't matter much to me tho, just curious)? and why ubuntu is the recommended (any perks included?)? Is it allowed to change os if ever? Would it be good if I also use it as email server for personal emails, even when I only purchased the 1gb mem 2cpu with 50gb storage? Is it easy to upgrade the memory, cpu, and storage if I needed more? What will happen if for some reason the user didn't pay the monthly payment? would all stuffs in the vps get deleted? Thank you.

Ohh, it works now. I find it not necessary to change the host names to tommy.heliohost.org (it works too, though), I used bochard.net. The problem is on me, I had input the wrong password that's why I won't be able to login, apologies.

Hi there! On the plesk panel, I have an email which I use as the main. Inside it I created an email alias that forwards on the main email. I had tested it, and it seems that when someone sent an email to the alias and I need to reply, the main email is the one being used instead of the email alias where it originally the email has sent to. How to configure it out so I can reply using the email alias, if that would be possible? Thank you!! Edit: I use Evolution email client if that matter.

Done! I got an email a few hours ago that moving has completed. It says to update some records. I have updated the remote SFTP already, the DNS records for SPF, MX, and DKIM are left to configure. I would like request to update those as well, if needed. Thank you!

Done @Krydos! I also tried the stripe link on my first bank but it doesn't work, it getting declined too. I created another bank account, and used the virtual card on it. I tried to pay on the paypal page but it didn't worked. I tried the link you sent, yeppp—success!
