Unfortunately the HelioHost staff (as far as I know) aren't very familiar with Ruby on Rails. I recommend looking at http://www.heliohost.org/home/features/languages/ruby and http://wiki.helionet.org/Deploying_a_Rails_application_on_HelioHost for information on setting up your RoR application. -
According to http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=thelifemaster.com&rec=NS your nameservers are pointing to Host Gator. Please verify your GoDaddy settings.

What is your cPanel username? A common issue with ASP applications is that its .NET framework needs to be set to version 3.5. -
I don't now if there is a set number limit. I do know that the server will block you if you have lots of rapid connects/logins and disconnects. Don't disconnect or close your FTP program after each file upload and you should be safe.

The best and easiest way to get around this is to set your domain to HelioHost's DNS directly and add the domain. Once the domain has been added successfully, you can set your domain back to Cloudflare's DNS.

The software versions will be upgraded, but not right away. Upgrading versions takes a lot of time and effort and requires downtime. It will likely take a few months or more before we begin the upgrade process.

Try setting your file permissions to 755 (executable) on the perl files.
