Think about Grenada, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. The U.S. didn't hesitate fight these countries, even if the world is now stockpiled with WMDs. So, I don't think that fear of nuclear war is a problem for the U.S. In fact, the U.S. was even prepared to fight the Soviet Union and destroy the world...................................
