[Solved] add domains to whistlermedia user
KazVee replied to whistlermedia's topic in Customer Service
I've added those domains to your account for you. Please note that it may take up to 2 hours for the domain changes to take effect, and they will not work until you set up your DNS with your domain registrar. To configure your DNS, please see the steps provided on our Wiki to either set NS records pointed at the HelioHost nameservers, or create A/AAAA records and point them to your server's IPv4/IPv6 address: https://wiki.helionet.org/Addon_Domains#Custom_Addon_Domains If after a full 2 hours the domains don't work on your side, please make sure you clear your web browser cache: https://wiki.helionet.org/Clear_Your_Cache Please note that the Python versions offered on the Morty server are 3.9 and 3.12: https://wiki.helionet.org/Python_Tutorial#Morty_Server If you require a different version of Python, you would need to get a VPS where you could install 3.11 or any other versions you need. We offer a range of VPS plans, and a 10% discount when you pay for 6 months upfront: https://heliohost.org/vps/ -

[Solved] Python module : duckduckgo-search
worldkryptonite replied to worldkryptonite's topic in Escalated Requests
Hello, Sorry for the late reply. I was not finding the option to view my ticket . I am using python version 3.12 and the latest version of duckduckgo-search (https://pypi.org/project/duckduckgo-search/) will be good. Thank you for the positive reply and for the link. Kind regards, World Kryptonite - Today

If you need the name servers themselves, they are ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org.

Subdomain added. it may take up to 2 hours to start working. You cannot edit your own DNS records at this time unless you are using an external DNS provider. if you are using our nameserver, then each record would have to be manually added by a root admin. This will be implemented sometime in the future however there is no ETA for this.

[Solved] Storage count mismatch - what is using so much space?
freelio replied to freelio's topic in Escalated Requests
Thank you both! I'll remember in the future that the totals on the summary page aren't calculated in real time. -
You can now upgrade the storage space on your account by going to https://heliohost.org/dashboard/storage/ This process is fully automated, and you no longer have to contact an admin to increase your storage space. Unlike most hosting providers we don't charge a monthly rate for storage space on our shared hosting accounts. We just charge a flat one-time donation of $5 per 1000 MB. The storage space, once increased, stays with your account forever. If you switch hosting plans, the storage transfers with your account. If you go inactive and your account is archived, the storage space will still be there years from now when you renew your account. Let us know if you have any comments or run into any issues upgrading your own storage space.

[Solved] Storage count mismatch - what is using so much space?
wolstech replied to freelio's topic in Escalated Requests
Plesk takes up to 24 hours to reflect changes to disk space use after files are added or removed. It's not real time. I just manually ran the recalculation for yours, assuming everything is good it should drop to the expected 86MB for files within the next hour or so (recalc can take a while). Note that Plesk counts the entire contents of your home folder (which includes all addon domains too) on your main domain's disk space, instead of breaking it up across the addon domains the various document roots belongs to. It's just how Plesk works (though it does seem kind of silly). The space use reported for added domains only consists of things such as log files and mail. EDIT: Looks like Krydos beat me to it... -
[Solved] Storage count mismatch - what is using so much space?
Krydos replied to freelio's topic in Escalated Requests
Here is your current disk usage breakdown: Backups 0 MB Emails .46 MB Files 84.78 MB Trash 0 MB Logs 1.00 MB PSQL 0 MB MySQL 0 MB Total 86.24 MB I'm guessing that you're confused by the fact that Plesk only calculates the total once every 24 hours or so. Therefore if you delete files it can continue showing you are using 900 MB for up to 24 hours. It doesn't update instantly. -

[Solved] Request for additional domain and wsgi control
Krydos replied to ujcis's topic in Escalated Requests
WSGI control access has been enabled on the domain wegocarryfirst.helioho.st. To restart your Flask app and load new code changes in simply edit /home/ujcis.helioho.st/wegocarryfirst.helioho.st/flask.wsgi. Adding a blank line, removing a blank line, adding a space, or removing a space are examples of editing the file. As long as the last modified timestamp changes it will clear the server cache. Let us know if you run into any issues. The logs should show up in Plesk. If they don't let us know and we can see if there are any additional global logs that aren't being filtered into your domain logs. -

[Solved] Request for additional domain and wsgi control
ujcis replied to ujcis's topic in Escalated Requests
Thanks for your help. For now, I'll temporarily go with flask (I'll try PHP again when everything's normal). Can you kindly enable wsgi control for me? I followed the python set up instruction and have /cgi-bin/test.py running successfully, however, my flask app located in the main directory (wegocarryfirst.helioho.st) is showing "Internal Server Error". I once had a python app here with error logs. I'm not sure if I enabled the error logs myself or by the help of a moderator. The app runs without issues on my localhost. In summary, I need wsgi control and error_logs. Thanks again! -
Frequent 504 Gateway Time-out errors on my PHP sites
wolstech replied to freelio's topic in Customer Service
We believe this is resolved. The issue was what basically amounted to a DoS attack against the server's webmail service clogging up PHP. The offending IPs have been blocked and performance has noticeably improved. Please give it another shot and let us know how it performs. I'm no longer experiencing 504s when loading Grav on your account. -

It sounds like you are experiencing the same issues as several other users. We are currently looking into what is causing an increase in 504 errors and will update you once we find out.
