By the way, can I enable/disable extensions on the control panel or is it not possible because of security concerns?

Oof. You may want to just omit the domain entirely if you go through and rebuild them and just use paths relative to the root (e.g. /assets/something.swf). That would make it run on any domain.

Issue is, the domain is hardcoded in SWF files, which requires recompilation and is mostly just a PITA to perform 😔

You can bulk-replace the domain in your files with this assuming they're just text/html: https://github.com/zzzprojects/findandreplace I've used that tool many times to fix this problem.

My username is malware8148 in mostly all platforms. My website is a "revival" for an old flash website (about 18 years old). Yeah, I know that 😭... should've thought earlier before hardcoding the domain in all my files which will be a pain to change. Technical debt surely gets ya! I'm switching over to a .net based domain which will use a vps, probably hosted on helionet!

Domain added. It can take up to 2 hours to work. Please be aware that afraid.org is known to be problematic. It sort of works, but many functions of Plesk will not work properly on these domains, notably email. You can use the IP address shown in Plesk at the bottom of your domain's options to point to the domain using an A record, however the recommended configuration is to contact their support and ask them to allow NS record changes so you can use our name servers instead. Note also that *.us.to is flagged as malicious by many major security companies due to its frequent use for illegal activity (and while I cannot say which one, I can confirm that the entirety of Afraid.org is also on at least one unpublished government blocklist). Also, due to your username, please review our Terms of Service, which prohibits illegal activity including the hosting of malware (note that samples and demos are also included in this definition). Accounts are regularly scanned for abuse and manually inspected to ensure compliance. Hosting malicious content will result in a permanent ban without a backup (or refund if applicable).

Domain added, it'll start working in about thirty minutes. You'll need to create an A/AAAA record to Johnny's IP address or switch to HelioHost's nameservers for the domain to work.

For now it seems to do the job dear Krydos. So actually having Roundcube enabled as a webmail tool, appears to be very useful now. Despite the fact that Roundcube is not activated on your servers by default anymore (for understandable reasons). Is there a way (for you as their client and me as end-user) to insist at Plesk to solve their more than one year old bug on short notice? Kind regards.

I took a look at it too, and it's very bizarre. Even on the PayPal website your subscription doesn't have an email attached to it somehow, even though every single other subscription we've ever done has had an email address. The payment itself has an email though. Thanks for letting us know. We may have to adjust our website code to handle this situation if it ever occurs again. For now it looks like a fluke though.

You can create the UX folder and move everything to it, but the problem is you didn't move things you just copied them. When you copy a file it leaves the original where it was, and you end up with 2 of every file and it uses double the space. If you move a file it removes the original file and you end up using the same space before and after the move. Can you login now?

Hi Krydos, you can delete the UX folder for now, it would make enough space for me get hold of my account and delete some other stuff. I made a copy because I wanted to move the content on the root folder on this new folder called UX. Than I tested and saw there was no https://professorparticular.info/UX. So I decided to wait for the site to be chached and check later to see if it was in the right place. I didn't realize I went over my 1000 limit. There are some pdf files that I will delete. Just as we are at it, can you tell me which folder I should place it if I want to move this foder to be https://professorparticular.info/UX? Thanks

I followed up on this in the staff channel for you, and it turns out this was a PayPal API malfunction. Paypal didn't send us your email address after you paid. Your VPS built when you paid, but the welcome email with login instructions couldn't go out because we had nowhere to send it. We've corrected the issue manually and have sent the welcome email. This is the first time PayPal has failed to provide an email address for the purchase. We've built over 700 of these and never had an issue with the email address not syncing correctly after purchase until today.

It's showing queued for some reason. It looks like you picked Ubuntu 24 so it should've built itself and sent a welcome email within an hour or so of being purchased. Escalating to figure out what happened and get it fixed...
