[Krydos] Create Postgresql database
Krydos replied to douglaswebster21's topic in Escalated Requests
I could try creating a PostgreSQL database for you if you let me know a database name. MariaDB is also available, and is the recommended database type to use as long as there isn't a specific feature of PostgreSQL, such as PostGIS, that you need. -
Domains added. It will take up to 2 hours for your domains to work.

[Krydos] Create Postgresql database
douglaswebster21 replied to douglaswebster21's topic in Escalated Requests
Thank you for the update. The basic SQLite db should be OK for the moment as I'm very much in the development stage and just ensuring the app will deploy OK. Regard Douglas -

Account Roxanne has been reset. You’ll receive an email shortly with a link to create a fresh account. You can pick the new main domain while completing the reset process. Please let us know once that process is complete so we can add the additional domains for you.

[Krydos] Create Postgresql database
Krydos replied to douglaswebster21's topic in Escalated Requests
It looks like there may be a bug in the latest version of Plesk which blocks users from creating PostgreSQL databases. I've tried a few things to get it working again, but they have all been unsuccessful. We may need to wait for Plesk to fix the bug and release an update. -
No problem

We use Plesk's implementation for getting LE certificates, and I believe it does supply the intermediates. We've never had a user report issues with LE certificates not verifying on Firefox due to missing roots or intermediates, though I know FF works a bit differently from other browsers.
-
For any or all of your plans, with a Let's Encrypt certificate, do you use the SSLCertificateChainFile directive or append the relevant intermediate certificate to the server/domain certificate so that the client receives the intermediate certificates? My reason for asking is I use Firefox which newly installed only includes the root X1 & X2 certificates and throws a wobbly if the server doesn't send the intermediate(s), or connects but issues a warning if the intermediate is user imported. Usage over time will probably find the intermediates installed from other sites which send the complete chain, but I'd like it to work correctly first time.

You do indeed need to reset your account if you tried the toolkit and want to remove it or start over with it. The tool kit (or possibly softaculous, not sure if it can change doc root when you install an app from it or not) is the only way to change the document root on your side. Laravel is rather poorly supported on our servers. It does work, but you would need to use the tool kit to create a skeleton app, then manually replace the skeleton files with the software you’re trying to install, probably via FTP. You can run artisan commands from the toolkit I believe if needed. I’ve gone ahead and reset your account again for you.

Request to enable Python support for tigersak.helioho.st
wolstech replied to tigersak's topic in Customer Service
You’re likely using the wrong path to the binaries. Its /usr/bin/python3.12 (or python3.9). All accounts have access automatically, this is not something that has to be requested. Please see: https://wiki.helionet.org/Python_Tutorial -
Request to enable Python support for tigersak.helioho.st
tigersak posted a topic in Customer Service
Hi HelioHost team, My account username is tigersak, domain tigersak.helioho.st. I’ve tried running Python scripts via both CGI (cgi-bin) and Scheduled Tasks, but python3 is not available in /usr/bin or /bin (see $PATH). Even /usr/bin/env python3 fails. Could you please enable Python (Passenger / Python3 runtime) for my account, or move me to a server that supports Python? Thanks for your help! -
You're very welcome! This support request is being escalated to our root admins who can set up the alias for you.
-
Thanks for the explanation 🤗 <33 I think that using a separate domain would double the memory usage hehe. I'd like to have an alias please.
-
Do you want it added as an alias or do you want it added as a separate domain? The best way to decide which way you want it setup is: Do you want to have one set of files for both web addresses so visitors to each domain see the exact same content? If yes, you probably want an alias. If you want to have each website different from the other and for each site to not share the same files and content, you want an addon domain. We can add it either way for you, so just let us know which setup you want. 🙂
-
Subdomains don't get a httpdocs folder. Instead, you'll see new folders at the same level as your httpdocs folder (which is where your main domain files go) with the same names was your subdomains. You'll put the web files for the subdomains in the folders named after them.
