sparta Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Website: <http://spartabots.co.cc> Username: sparta Server: Johnny I tried looking at my website just a few minutes ago, and instead of showing me my website, it redirected to <http://spartabots.co.cc/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi> and said "Executing in an invalid environment for the supplied user". I then checked via FTP, and saw that all my files were still there. Help?

cl58 Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 @sparta: Your site (an empty directory) is loading fine for me. @sido: What is your cPanel username, domain, and on what server is your site hosted (Stevie or Johnny)?
sido Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 http://i-live.heliohost.org/ server: johny username: sido on ftp i see my files, but visiting the adress it looks like a empty director. ps: as you can see i did another post in joohny thread about the down/up time. with all this issues when serv was up my website worked, now its up (the adress) but the directory look empty even if in ftp i see the files...
sparta Posted June 29, 2011 Author Posted June 29, 2011 @sparta: Your site (an empty directory) is loading fine for me. It's not supposed to be empty, though. The problem isn't that it's not loading, the problem is that it's not loading the right thing.
Krydos Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 It's not supposed to be empty, though. The problem isn't that it's not loading, the problem is that it's not loading the right thing. Looks like something got fixed in the last 10 hours because it is all good now.
sido Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 @krydos yeah... it seems stable now... well i tested with uploading a new file near all those i see there, and this new file (an image) work... rest not... maybe they remained as root files or smth like that.. that are not loaded into the domain adress but they are on the host. so ill delete all them and re-upload.... hope this problem will not appear again
jje Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Glad your problem got solved! As a side note, make sure that you all have backups!!

Krydos Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 well problem with up/down started again :/ (not that "hard" as it was but still) and this is second time i get this serror ------------------------------------------ Internal Server Error ... You might want to try some of the suggestions on http://wiki.heliohost.org/wiki/Solving_Int...l_Server_Errors I have found from personal experience that sometime when you are actively developing your website you can come up against the process limit because uploading files causes a couple processes to spawn, and then viewing your page causes a couple to spawn, and then maybe even checking your mail causes a couple more processes and before you know it you can no longer parse php because there are too many processes already running to load the one required to display a php page. If it is the process limit it those errors should go away after a bit of not uploading and messing with the site so much, ie: normal use, but if it becomes consistant and aways error you might have a process that is broken and isn't going away on it's own. In which case you should definitely let an admin know so they can fix it.
sido Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 it may be because of high server load, cuz if i think about, AND if im not wrong..., this happen when i did a cron job on a specific file (which check online status of some ip's, dont worry i dont do anything against law, its a website top and it show the online status of the websites that joined the top). il do more tests concerning this situation. also i wanna say that cron job list disappear (never used it, this is first time and i may not do smth right or this might be normal... but i dont think so). i wrote there the command to use this check.php file, and the command appear after in the list bellow, after few mins (i guess after the time i set there the cron job) the least is empty... why ?
jje Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Yes, I think when you posted your server was experiencing a temporary downtime that lasted around 5-10 minutes. Weird; try adding the cron job again.
sido Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 well this up/down are annoying .... about cron, i tried more times and the same result..
jje Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 well this up/down are annoyingSorry about that. At the moment Stevie is experiencing some problems since the Power Outage, look here. Also, Johnny will always be more unstable than Stevie has he runs dangerous services like ASP.NET, JSP/Java and Ruby on Rails. about cron, i tried more times and the same result.. That's weird. Let's see what the root administrator thinks....
jje Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
