HelioHost Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Username: jrcanelon75, Server: Morty2, Main domain: tanklevel.helioho.stHello Dear people of Heliohost My IoT devices are sending HTTP POST requests to tanklevel.helioho.st to monitor water levels. Since the server move, these requests are being blocked by ModSecurity (rules 217240, 217260) because they lack a User-Agent header. I cannot update the hardware on-site. I tried to disable ModSecurity via Plesk, but I got a 'Permission denied' error when restarting Apache. Please disable ModSecurity for my account or whitelist these rules How can I solve this problem. I hae 10 equipment with IOT. I nee to solve this now Best Regars JRCANELON -- Este correo electr?nico ha sido analizado en busca de virus por el software antivirus de Avast. www.avast.com
wolstech Posted May 14 Posted May 14 You should be able to go the "Web Application Firewall" page in Plesk and turn them off. There is a box where you can enter those rule numbers to disable them. It should work as long as the settings save successfully. If you're receiving an error that you don't have permission to restart Apache, this is normal (Apache restarts are controlled by time on our servers and cannot be initiated by a user). Apache restarts every ~2 hours, so the rules may take up to 2 hours to take effect once you disable them. Users have successfully disabled these on our other servers, so it should be working. If you're still unable to get them to disable using the above methods, please let us know and we'll take a deeper look as to why you're getting an error.
