douglaswebster21 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Hello, I seem to be unable to create a Postgresql database in Plesk. When I open the database all I see is the following with MariaDb as the database. Is there something wrong with my account or am I doing something wrong? Regards Douglas
wolstech Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Well that's different. Krydos would be the one who would need to look at this. Escalating.
Krydos Posted September 22 Posted September 22 It looks like there may be a bug in the latest version of Plesk which blocks users from creating PostgreSQL databases. I've tried a few things to get it working again, but they have all been unsuccessful. We may need to wait for Plesk to fix the bug and release an update.
douglaswebster21 Posted September 22 Author Posted September 22 Thank you for the update. The basic SQLite db should be OK for the moment as I'm very much in the development stage and just ensuring the app will deploy OK. Regard Douglas
Krydos Posted September 22 Posted September 22 I could try creating a PostgreSQL database for you if you let me know a database name. MariaDB is also available, and is the recommended database type to use as long as there isn't a specific feature of PostgreSQL, such as PostGIS, that you need.
