blgc Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Good day bro, I cannot seem to access our VPS using remote desktop, we had an error in connection earlier while I am connected in the VPS and now it shows this error Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons: 1. Remote access to the server is not enabled 2. The remote computer is turned off 3. The remote computer is not available on the network Thank you for your always fast response and resolution on my concerns
Krydos Posted March 7 Posted March 7 @wolstech I was about to close this topic for inactivity, but took one more look to see if I could figure out which Windows Server VPS belongs to them. I still couldn't find a VPS, but I noticed this person has a Tommy account and a Lily account. I suspect they are trying to login to the Lily account with remote desktop. I'm pretty sure that isn't available, but maybe you can provide Lily support.
Krydos Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Remote desktop is working fine for me on VPS113. Maybe the reason we've never got a response on this issue is it started working for @blgc again?
blgc Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 no its still not working, sorry got problem in connection these past days
wolstech Posted March 14 Posted March 14 It's on your end most likely. It works for both me and Krydos. Does this site load for you? http://portquiz.net:3389/ (it may take a minute or two to load if it works, that site is very slow). Also, are you on an enterprise/school network by chance? It's pretty common for port 3389 to be blocked on those networks, and RDP will not work from them as a result.
wolstech Posted March 14 Posted March 14 If that website doesn't work for you either, then it's your PC or home network, which means there isn't much we can do on our end. Try turning off your security software and firewall, and also make sure your router and ISP allow outbound connections on port 3389. If you have a cell phone data plan and can run a hotspot, try connecting to your VPS while on the hotspot instead of the home internet to eliminate the router and ISP as the cause. Try another computer if available, and also try a cell phone RDP app (on your data plan with wifi turned off if possible). Until you can make a connection on port 3389, your VPS's RDP won't work for you.
blgc Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 now its working, Thank you very much for your help and support
