Hi, Need to switch to a 6 month subscription.

Also is it possible to check the usage and see if its nearing the limit or is still within llimits?

VPS109 would like to switch to a 6 month plan

Thanks

I took another look at your VPS, and the memory looks pretty good. The load is still a little higher than I would like though. It's bouncing around between 2.5 and 3.0. Like I said a few weeks ago it would be best if it was below 1.0. I think the largest bottleneck right now is the disk I/O. Since your database is so large MariaDB can't load very much of it into memory at a time so it has to constantly read and write from the hard drive. If you want I could run a database tuner on your VPS to see if we can squeeze a little more performance out of the database settings. Most likely, since your database is so large, the tuner will tell us that it needs more cache space, which would require increasing the memory on the VPS again. We've already got you on the fastest hard drives we own, but memory is thousands of times faster than even the fastest hard drives, so the more data MariaDB can hold in memory the less slow reading and writing to the hard drive would occur.

I have converted your VPS to a 6 month plan and applied the 10% discount. You can set up a subscription with this link https://heliohost.org/vps/pay/?code=8Lk5SWqTry3oGpcr but if you do want to run the tuner, and most likely increase the memory again, it might be better to hold off on setting up the subscription for a day or two because increasing the memory will change the price for the subscription.

Hi, If you can run the tuner, any increase in performance is a plus.

Database may go larger, as not all the products have been imported still yet.

I ran the tuner and made some adjustments. MariaDB will likely use more memory now, so if your free memory drops too low the load may spike high and things may seem slower than before. That is our indication to add more memory to the server. One of the changes I made should make it easier to analyze the performance, but the database needs to run without a restart for at least 24 hours before we can run the tuner again. If your site gets too slow within those 24 hours please let us know and I can add some more memory.

After the changes, and letting MariaDB run overnight you were using 900 MB of swap, as expected. I increased your memory another 1 GB, and we'll let it run for a while again. The performance is already looking a lot better, and giving MariaDB more memory to work with is definitely reducing the disk I/O. The other good news is even though you were using some swap this morning, your load was about 0.90 which is under the 1.00 that I was targeting.

I would agree the website is faster.

Hopefully once product importing is done it will become more consistency stable.

I'm guessing that is a PayPal error. I recommend contacting PayPal support, or trying a different card or something.

Any progress on this? We generally give people 6 days to pay for their VPS and then power them off if they don't get a payment figured out. You're already at 14 days expired and it doesn't seem like you're making any effort to pay for it. It would really be a shame to have to take your website offline that we’ve both put so much work into getting it running well for a much better price than your previous host.

Hi,

Yh, imagine all that time wasted trying to get it running and you have to delete it all 😭

So, PayPal are unable to figure out the issue, there is an issue creating a Subscription between a UK and US onto my account, PayPal conversion.

I've made single payments before, so can we do a single payment for the 6 months until PayPal Support figure out the issue?

In all honesty, I don't hold high hopes they will figure out the issue as they can't even understand what I'm getting at, its either my account is business account, or currency issue.

So If we can just get a 6 month reminder email for a single payment for 6 months that would work.

Also may need to move over another business website, which shouldn't be as demanding.?

Regards.

I just sent you a PayPal money request for $110.70 to cover 6 months of your VPS109. Since it's not a recurring subscription it should work, and obviously you've made the $25 one time payment before so you should be good. We can just bill you like this every 6 months if your having issues setting up a subscription.

I know people from India has been having trouble setting up subscriptions because of some bizarre laws designed to force Indians to only spend money with companies located in India. Maybe the UK is now having some similar legislation, or maybe your bank is just being fussy?

Perfect received the notification and Paid, it went through no issues.

It's something to do with Subs, but not sure why.
