I need to validate the use of a Stored Procedure in postgresql. I will need
a DB defined with a very simple Table (maybe 3 columns as few as 12 rows). I
will need to code the Stored Procedure and also load some data. I have
DBVisualizer which I would like to use to access the DB and code, update,
debug, etc,

If I utilize a postgresql DB hosted in your environment, will I be able to
gain access via DBVisualizer or do I need to use your tools. What version of
postgres and does that version support p1pgsql?

I think that is all of the questions I have at this time/

Thanks,

Yes, our PostgreSQL on Johnny, Tommy, and Morty servers support stored procedures.

Since we use Plesk on these plans, there is no way for you to enable remote PostgreSQL connections yourself, but after you create a database and a user, you can ask an admin to enable remotes connections for you, which would allow you to access the data using external tools like DBvisualizer.

We use PostgreSQL 13 currently on Johnny, Tommy, and Morty. I'm not sure what p1pgsql is, but if it's a typo and you meant to ask about plpgsql then yes, we support that as well.

Johnny is our free server that is currently closed for signups because of some repairs that we need to complete before re-opening free signups.

Tommy is our donor only server that starts at $1, and then requires a login every 30 days to keep active after that, but you only have to donate once to create the account, not monthly.

Morty is a new server that we'll be releasing soon that doesn't require monthly logins to keep the account active, and starts at $1 per month and scales depending on your load.

We also have VPS plans that start at $4 per month where you get root SSH access to install whatever version of PostgreSQL you want.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
